EVERYONE BEWARE!!!!!! My 85 year old grandfather was scammed by a person who had a Jamacian accent. He told him that he won the lottery and a new car. The prize was 3.5 million and a Mercedes. Sounds too good to be true right? Well when you do a back up check on the company he is supposibly with it seems more possible. We even got a picture of the car and check. Which here again the bank exists and had all the correct numbers and addresses. The only thing is to get your prize you need to pay $2500.00 processing and security with a Green Dot Card from Walmart. They also tell you not to swipe it or scratch off the security dot on the back.  But it gets a lot better. The biggest scam in this whole thing wasnt the person who called. It was Walmart. Walmart sells this Green Dot Money Card. On this card not only does it swipe like a credit card but it has a security scratch off on the back. If you scratch it off the number will allow you to pull the funds off the card with the numbers.  So when you buy the card not only from the store clerk but the manager and any person who answers with Green dot themselves tell you to please be carefull not too give that number out because you can lose all your money.  Follow now real close!!! Now that being said as long as you are careful one would think you would be safe to use this type of card. But what Walmart and Green Dot fail to tell the public is that the same number that is hidden so carefully behind the scratch off on the back of the card is also PRINTED ON YOUR RECIEPT!!!! So now not only do you have to make sure you dont lose it. You have to make sure the person behind the register doesnt print a duplicate copy, or write the numbers down, or the manager doesnt see it or the book keepers dont see it and get tempted to steal your money or sell the numbers to someone. Out of all the stores who sell Green Dot cards Walmart is the only one to print that number on the reciept. I have to ask why??? Dont you??
