Ive been a walmart GE Money bank customer for over a year now and have had several incidents that were resolved immediately by them.i find it wierd they gave you all this trouble.But after all they were just protecting you from theft.

They like to hold on to your money for as long as possible.They keep it a interest bearing account while"
THEY INVESTIGATE" the longer they" INVESTIGATE" the more interest they make.Think how much it would cost them to INVESTIGATE all of these accounts just because they are trying to PROTEST YOU.
Just don't use them.....GET THE PICTURE NOW?

I would like to first thank RIPOFF REPORT for having this site and allowing us as consumers with VALID complaints against companies/businesses etc to post here. Also for giving us links and info on BBB because BBB also makes a difference. After posting on here and emailing the Better Business Bureau, I caught the attention of GE MONEYBANK who obviously is not aware of the issues we as consumers are having with their "SUPPORT LINES & CALL CENTERS"
Within 48 hrs of posting my complaint about GREENDOT MONEYCARD sponsored by Walmart that has their name on it, somebody from GE MONEYBANK saw it and wanted to make right what was done to me. I was given an email address CUSTOMER.ADVOCACY@ GREENDOTCORP.COM to contact by Nicole of GE Moneybank and within an hour of me emailing them I received a call from their corporate office apologizing and even crediting both my cards with $50. Though the $50 doesnt make right what they did or all the hardship they caused me, I was pleased to speak with someone who sincerely sounded like they cared and felt responsible. The gentlemen explained that because I purchased two cards it raised a flag, that is fair. However he did say that because I complied so quickly and submiited everything they needed for my case that it should not have taken so long to undo the freeze. So again, itleast we were both able to agree and FINALLY I was given an explanation and an apology. Also he was not aware that the deposit was from the IRS and that in itself is why I was not able to put the 2nd card in my mom's name because their policy states IRS REFUNDS CANNOT BE DEPOSITED IN ANYONE ELSES NAME BUT THE PERSON ON THE CARD/TAX RETURN.
I cannot say that I will use them again and hope to be able to open my own bank account now to avoid these kind of problems in the future.
Also for anyone having similar issues the DIRECT PHONE NUMBER TO REACH RESOLUTION IS 866-652-4611. I hope this helps anyone else having similar problems with getting a timely resolution.
