Always the low price eh?

I had the misfortune of having to purchase toothpaste at WalMart. I purchased a 5.5 ounce tube of Toms of Maine toothpaste for $3.84. This was quite a shock, since the same exact toothpaste at Trader Joes at Metro Center is $3.18!

How can this possibly be? Trader Joes has about 250 stores in the US, a mere fraction of the stores that WalMart has.

WalMart is clearly ripping people off on Toms of Maine products.

Do not purchase Toms of Maine toothpaste from WalMart unless you have an extra 66 cents to throw around!

You are so right I did not notice the first time I read your report, that you did leave spaces between the lines so that we could read about the low price policy. I also enjoy it when people on this site, point out the IQ of people that write rebutals, always respond by calling them names and using naughty words. For my own enjoyment, Poway does not empress me, nor does Frisco.

Well I'll respond just once to you pair of trolls. Neither of you really get it, and I don't know why I am wasting my time trying to explain something to someone who lives in freakin' Santee and buys canned cranberry sauce. I'm from Poway, and my relatives probably own the sh*thole you live in Kim. WalMart uses the motto "The lowest prices always", well if Trader Joes sells the toothpaste cheaper, it's not really true is it? Recall many years ago, Papa Johns used the motto, "The freshest ingredients", Pizza Hut challenged this, and actually took it to court and lost. My guess is that this is just one of thousands of items that WalMart is not the cheapest, thus using fraudlent advertising. So that was point, and unfortunately those 78 IQs of yours just couldn't see the real issue. Go away and post your tired, predictable, cookie cutter crap somewhere else.

I will not go into retail 101 but I will just tell you that I purchased cranberry sause at albertsons for 1.25 on sale. Then we went to walmart and saw the same type and size for .88. Is this the first time you have see different prices at different stores.

Did you not see the price tag on the shelf before purchasing your toothpaste? How can you claim rip off when you voluntarily bought your toothpaste at Walmart? I don't see why you didn't buy it at the other store seeing as how it is supposedly "66 cents cheaper." All this over 66 cents... how funny. I bet you will spend an extra $2 in gas to drive across town to the other store, to avoid spending 66 cents more at Walmart.
