a friend and i went to walmart and bought a dvd vcr combination player. we checked out at 833 pm got home the item had no power we called them they said bring it back. player in the magnavox box was an rca no manual and did not work it got back out there by 9pm they ecused us of switching the thing said it was not even from there store

imbarrising kicked us out of the store i called the police from outside and ask them to take a report they refused said it s a cival matter walmart kept pointing at this tag so when i got back home with the broken machine i looked at the tag they all kept looking at it was a walmart beaverdam store product tag which is more then hour in a half away froom here.

i was in shock that walmart would treat a senior citezen this way. and what really bothers me is i was asked to leave when i asked why did customer service not catch this when it was returned the first time being not the corect item in the box. we was told by another employee that it was not a schock to hear someone had bought a big screen tv the week before brought back an empty box and got there money refunded.

150.00 loss to a senior today is just not right and seems they get paid to treat the wrong people bad they sure cant be doing there job in customer service. ripp off disrespectful i will no longer shop walmart and i will be sure to warn others unfair

If you left the store with the product, it is yours. Imagine if you, yourself owned a store and someone had brought an item back to you, wanting their money back, and the product didn't match the box. Would you take it back?

Somehow, someone did take it back. Did you still purchase an item that had been opened previously? Why didn't you request that the item be opened before you bought it. To me, this would have been common sense. You know, just to make sure everything was in the box.

Chalk it up to being a lazy shopper.

That marvin is a rude individual. But I have learned from working retail that if a box looks like it as been retaped closed. Then it has been a return. If I was you or anyone else. If you see a box that looks like it has been retaped. Just go to a associate and ask them to open it for you so you can make sure that it is what is suppose to be inside. This is a bad habit that walmart always has had. The customer service get these all the time. We had a car radio returned and it was suppose to be a name brand and after going through the returns then is when they found out that it was a cheap durabrand. If walmart was not so cheap and always pushing there associates to the breaking point. Then they can get more of that great customer service.

Never buy a product with an open or resealed box without inspecting item FIRST!!.

Marvin, Some people just bring problems on themselves, and then compound those problems with illiteracy. If someone returned this item, the box would have shown signs of being opened and re-sealed. NEVER buy a product that is in a box that has been opened unless you remove it and thoroughly inspect it. This is just plain old common sense. I barely got through your post with all of the spelling and grammar errors. I don't know how you made it to 68 years old being illiterate. Live and learn. Use some common sense.
