my husband went into a 24hr walmart at about 12:30am and bought a xbox360 ..well after taking the game system home and setting it all up found that it did not work.. he decied to just go to bed and asked me if i could return it in the morning.. I went to walmart what would have been the same day Saturday morning and after 30min of the return assoc looking over the game system ..looked at me and said he could not take it back... Said that it looks to be older then what my reciet and what i had said.. Altough my serial number did match.. he then looked at me and said that I had removed the serial number from the new cube and replaced it on a older cube.. I have never owned a xbox untill that day..I was shocked that I was being accused of such a thing.. The system looked very new to me and I have the recite and everything was still in the correct package.. after dealing with him and him being so rude..I ask to speak to the store manager.. Who came at me with the same attuide.. he looked at me and decied he will show me how I took the sticker off and removied the sticker and looked at me and said that he could not help me..and told me to leave his store ..I was so upset their was nothing at that time that I could do... I went home and asked my sister for some help.. She is a store manager for a big time retail company.. so she decied to call the store manager and ask what options I have at this time since their is no way that I had swaped out the units.. He told her that I was a ugly person and refuss to help me.. he also told her that he would contact all the walmarts in the area.. and that I was just out of luck..I contact xbox.. but because the serial number sticker was removed it voieded any warrainty and the I would have to pay for repairs ... I am still waiting for a call back from walmart corprate office... It is cleare that walmart does not care for their customers and that you can be accused of anything in from of a store of people and nothing be done about it.. I am screwed out of $550 in the game cube .extened warranity and a extra remote and a game.. and now have to pay the fees of the repair work .. Never again will I step a foot into a walmart and will ask all my friends and family to do the same.. Will also look to take legle matters ... Be very careful buying something at walmart you never know if some one is useing the stuff in the store and then you will be the blame.. I know they can accuse you of anything.. I hope the camera will bring me some help...

To the guy who thinks you did this, if he had read correctly he would have read that the MANAGER was the one who removed the sticker and that is why the sticker had been removed!! So before you think you are such an investigator maybe you should read all the facts!! I'm so sorry that this has happened to you I hope you get something good out of all of this! And for that manager he is a ugly person for treating you that way and if Walmart doesn't take care of that it just shows you what a poor company they really are.

I do not shop at StalinMart. The door greeters are dumbest things on two feet. They can not catch the real shoplifters. So they have to check everyones receipt. I consider this a violation of my rights to be left alone. They have no right to search my bags after I made a purchase and came directly from the cashier. Who the hell do they thing they are. They are a corporation run by a bunch of mobster Stalinists. They can take their Stalinist attitude and move to Vietnam or China. Because they are traitors to the very country that made Walmart the billion dollar company they are. Well they will never ever get one cent of my hard earned money. They can sing and dance till heaven freezes. Don't listen to the StalinMart puppets on a string. They are n**i's like the company they work for. As for the customer with the xbox problem. Get yourself a picket sign and picket the store. Start a website about StalinMart. Spread the word on the internet. They do not like anyone questioning their tactics to ripoff the customer. Sometimes credit cards will reimburse you for losses. I would suggest that you try to get the charge reversed. If Stalinmart does not like this. Take them to court. File a complaint with your attorney General of your state. You can also file a complaint with the FTC.gov. Try your attorney General. Take pictures of the xbox serial number and include it with your complaint. StalinMart will never ever stop me from spreading the word. Its called Freedom of Speech. By the way the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that being on private property does not mean that you shed your rights from search. StalinMart does not have the right to make up their own laws. Stalinmart's been sued many times for all sorts of stuff. They just don't learn. StalinMart puppets read the U.S. Constitution. That is if they can read.

First you carry on and on about how you never switched the serial numbers and everything is brand new and yadda yadda yadda ... Then you say that because the serial number was switched, the warranty was void. Obviously you DID switch the serial numbers in an attempt to return an old, used unit for a brand new, modern one. This unfortunately did not work, and so you were forced to actually pay for your new unit. The only rip off here is that which you tried to pull over on Walmart.

First of all, Wallmart doesn't care one way or the other if an item is returned, as long as you have a receipt on hand. They must've had a very good reason for this, such as, you DID switch the units. Many people try that, they break something, then buy the same thing, then return the broken item for a refund. The only way you will be caught is if you do it too often, which is probably the case here. They have you 'tagged' as a frequent returner. So, they check out your returned items more carefully than most. A brand new XBox doesn't look like a used unit. It's brand new, shiny and shows no sign of use. Yours obviously didn't fit this description. I am leaning toward Wal-Mart on this one. Sounds way too fishy on your end. Especially the part where you returned it instead of exchanging it. Better luck next time.

possible that someone else returned the old box and you were sold it. That sucks, but it is a scam known all to well.. you just happened to be the unlucky one who got a used busted machine. That sucks that no one will help you.
