Yes it does cost a lot of money to visit Walt Disney parks I found that anything that you wanted to buy was so expensive A lot of the things are made in China. My wife and I paid $5000 to Visit Waltdisney parks. From Ontario Canada .For one weekWe had a small meal plan.Anywhere else we ate it was always $100 That included a drink each .And you didn't get much either. I don't care what other people say .It's all about the buck I don't believe I will ever return here again. They should lower there prices , on a lot of things because you can get them so much cheaper off the resort I'm not the only one to complain There was a lot of complaints from a lot of other people to Nice place , but be prepared to spend a lot of money

Tickedoffatfaxlake, you seem to be a raving lunatic. If you have been to Disney over 100 times like you claim.. then I feel sorry for you because Disney World is just not a place that an adult visits that often..do you have a life? Do you have a job? School??? Or have you caught Make A Wish's eye so many times because it's obvious "something" is wrong with you. LOL Getting back to your childish and immature self... I have seen you make that same lame comment over and over..(stay away from Disney World, it means I have to stand in line behind less people"....and to be honest.. hate to burst your little "raving" bubble, but if you are such a Disney Expert like you (cough:Bull Sh*T) say, then you should know they have "fast passes" on almost every ride or show worth seeing... So ask customer service to show you how to use it next time...that way you won't be coming on this website and celebrating someone else not being in line so you don't have to wait in it... ROFL... OMG do people like tickedoff really exist? Another thing for the person who said "why would you go back in 2008 if you didn't like it in 2006?" That was a lame answer too..a company like Disney doesn't stay the same in case you didn't notice.. they are always changing their polices and procedures..one would hope that after 2 years, they would have made an improvement in the areas that customers have issues with... without the people paying Disney, there would be NO Disney..honestly Disney better start thinking about customer service before the all mighty dollar before people find out how bad they're slipping...and YES they are slipping.. AND on another note in case you didn't realize "uninformed" and "unmotivated" and "unwilling to help" employees can personally ruin a trip, that someone would have otherwise loved, if they had happened to been helped by a different employee... so, you people need to just not comment at all if you're going to continue to act brainless with no clue what so ever about the way companies operate or how they should operate to keep business.

Being that I am only 28 years old and have been to Disney 100+ times, I am sooooo soooooo GLAD that you didn't like Disney. This leaves more room for me to go. Disney is overpriced. Ice Creams are $2.50 each, sorry, they aren't $9 each as you stated. Disney can't control the rain. It rained on your vacation. No body MADE you buy their ponchos, nobody MADE you buy their souvenirs. PLEASE PLEASE stay away from Disney. That way, the lines are MUCH shorter for me! :)

Having visited Walt Disney World myself in 2006, and having purchased the Dining Plan during that stay, I know for a fact that the Dining Plan has ALWAYS been tied to the number of nights of your hotel stay, NOT the number of days. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, Iperhaps you had a late check-in on your first trip, and did not visit one of the parks on your check-in day? Then it would "seem" that your meals would equal your days in the park. Again, though, this is only a guess regarding your obvious confusion. As for items being overpriced, I must ask if you have ever visited a theme park before. Of course everything is more expensive there! You are on their property, and they can set the prices wherever they can in order to maximize their profit. They are a business - with stockholders! Had you done some basic internet searches, you would have discovered a wealth of informative websites that give price information as well as suggestions for minimizing your costs as much as possible.

If you already went to Disneyworlf in 2006 and didn't have a good time, why would you return? It is obvious that prices in 2008 would be more then 2006. In regard to added gratuity for partys of 6 or more. A lot of people tables of 2,4 or 3,3. This would have avoided the gratuity if you really didn't want to pay it. You could have also discussed it with a manager if you didn't want to pay the fee and explained why. Most times they are accommodating to this. Also when you go to Disney, you are going to a resort. It is your choice if you want to pay 4.00 for a vitaminwater. If you want to save money, you can pack food and drinks. You could also rent a car and pick up items from local stores in the area off of the resort. Buying items at the resort are a convience. Therefore you are going to pay a higher price. If you decide to go back again, you can get more information online on what to expect. You can pack for rain and prepare for meals. There are many helpful guides online and people commenting on recent things they have done. Some almost up to the minute.

We have been to WDW, gosh maybe 8 times. And I was sorry to read you did not have a good time. There are many good web sites that can give you first hand ideas to make your WDW vacation a happy time. Not much to say about the rain. Any time you travel in FLA or the caribbean for that matter June-Nov is Hurricane season, and there is a strong chance you'll have rain. We take our own rain gear IF we travel to FLA---end of story. You can purchase these items at any store in advance (at home). Tipping, I must say is an important part of any meal. Servers do not work for free. Although some customers want them to work work work for change on the table or nothing at all. Perhaps in the future you should opt out of the pre-paid meal plan and go off site, this way you can control if you tip or not. We have seen a few kids working at the snack stands who could use a lesson on customer service skills. And if you have poor service you MUST tell a manager right away. We didnt say anything because we were not eating a sit down meal. As far as the water or high price of drinks. We took our own drinks into the park in our back packs. Actually we froze our water the night before and by the time we really needed drinks---it was nice and cold. We also bought at the Dollar Stores back home,,glow sticks and glow in the dark items to give out to the kids every night before we went to the park. I am sorry you didnt have a good time. We always have. We cant wait to go back. Good luck on your next vacation.

Okay I read your rant and have come to the following conclusion: YOU ARE JOKING...RIGHT???? First, you are not satisfied the first time you visited Disney World so what do you do? You go back again? What....are you insane? If you had a bad first experience why in the world would you return? As far as the overpricing...THAT'S DISNEY WORLD!!! That's how they make...what's the word I'm looking for...you know the thing that most businesses try to achieve....something that amusement parks in general try to get...OH THAT'S IT...a PROFIT!!!!! The water tasted bad? Come on are you serious? Doesn't all water taste the same? If you don't like it PACK YOUR OWN WATER AND DON'T BUY IT FROM THEM!!!!! Common sense is quite a commodity these days! (Yes I am being sarcastic). As far as the gratuity in the restaurant...GET OVER IT! The reason they do that is to make sure that their waiting staff can get a decent tip! Some people are so cheap it's ridiculous. If everyone gave a tip of 20% then MAYBE they wouldn't need to do that. Overall, your complaint is utterly ridiculous and you obviously have nothing better to do then complain. If I had a miserable time someplace the LAST thing I would do is return for a second trip...unless of course I was a brain-dead moron which you obviously are. Here's a tip: stay home, don't go anywhere because your conception of the world is so twisted that your idea of fun is measuring the blades of grass that grow from your front lawn. Keep up with your regimen of daily boredom because something exciting and fun as Disney World is simply out of the reach of your conception of fun. Being tightly cheap (which you exemplify yourself as) is not something that works in your favor in the most fun place on Earth.
