We just recieved a scary letter, complete with a "Customer Number" and the make (correct) and model (incorrect) of our car.
I know this is a deception because the "customer" to whom the letter was addressed is our 5 year old cat! He is far too young to have a drivers' permit, let alone sign the papers to buy a car. No thumbs. He's a cat, for cryin' out loud!
Anything this company sends should be suspect.

We obtain information from many data suppliers, all of which adhere to state and federal laws regarding consumer privacy. The most likely source of the information is from you, or someone using your cats name, filling out a survey or web questionnaire. We are fairly sure that your cat did not fill out a survey or questionnaire because as you said, No Thumbs. Hes a cat, for cryin out loud!
If you would like your cats name removed from our mailing list so that you do not receive anymore scary letters, please call our toll free number. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused but appreciate the humor and do not wish to be considered suspect.
