Friend of the Court is an ENFORCEMENT Agency. They on Enforce orders that are sent down to them by the court. They do not have the authority to change an order, an amount, a visitation schedule, etc. without a signed Judgement from the presiding Judge. Therefore, if you are wanting your support lowered based on your current income, it is YOUR responsiblity to get your Judgement changed, either thru an agreement between you & the ex, or by filing a petition. You dont have to pay your attorney to file a petition. Petitions can be filed "Pro Per" which means on your own.
