Wayne County Friend Of The Court ripoff of an out of state mom who hasnt gotten a response in 3 years Detroit Michigan
I am a single Mom of a 9 year old. My case has been active since 1997. I have not recieved child support in 7 years. I have tried to call and get a show cause hearing for 3 years to no avail. I moved to another state in 2001, and have not received the address change I applied for in November of 2002. I have tried to call and no one answers the phone!
I have to spend at least five dollars a month in phone bill charges to try and contact the court. Why do I have to spend money to receive the money that is rightfully my sons. I was never on state aid, and I cannot understand how a woman on welfare to work gets the attention, as she well deserves, but if you didnt get help from the state then FOC doesnt care if you get you money or not. The state comes first, and that is all they care about. If no one answers the phone, then how does someone out of state deal with their case. They should at least staff the court. I am writing to Kwamee Kilpatrick and telling him that the administration better get on their toes. The news channels are interested in smearing FOC's name in the mud where I live because it is pathetic the way everyone is treated.
Seven years of non support and not even one show cause hearing about it. Not one bench warrant issued, not even a income withholding order sent in over three years, AND HE IS WORKING! Oh yeah, cant even get in touch with the court to tell them he is working. And dont think writing letters does any good. I have filed three petitions, and four address changes in two years: ZIP ZILCH NADA!!! They dont even care! Any suggestions?????
