Wayne County Health Choice--Ulticare will not pay claims, deny receiving claims Detroit Michigan
Wayne County Health Choice and Ulticare need to payup!!! The have hurt so many people. Hundreds, probably thousands.
I have contacted Office of Financial and Insurance Services in Lansing an they responded..."OFIS DOES NOT HAVE REGULATORY AUTHORITY OVER ULTICARE OR THE WAYNE COUNTY HEALTH CHOICE PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM IS CREATED BY AND ADMINISTERED BY WAYNE COUNTY GOVERNMENT BUT IS NOT CONSIDERED A LICENSED OR AUTHORIZED HEALTH MAINTENANCE ORGANIZATION OR INSURANCE COMPANY IN MICHIGAN." Not licensed or authorized!!!!! They collect premiums every month. I'm sure they get government money too. Where is this money going?
Ulticare would not acknowledge, approve or deny my claim. It took me 5 years and 17 days to get a denial. If they would have denied my claim I could have submitted it to my secondary insurance company. even though it should have been paid by Ulticare. That pisses me off!!! Now my husband has it on his credit report. His credit is ruined.
I have some names and addresses of some people anyone can write to. I'm sure these hotshots would love getting a few hundred letters of complaints. I think the news stations and newspapers may be interested in the fact that Wayne County is operating a health insurance company that is not even considered "licensed or authorized on Michigan". The head hanchos you should write to are,
