There is no record of a Wayne Dalton 9000 Series garage door installed by Carr's Overhead Doors in February 2008. Our company installs Wayne Dalton garage doors in various models. They come directly from the factory with the factory authorized hardware (track, springs, rollers...etc.) The installers are factory authorized installers. The installers have over 15 years or more experience in the garage door installation field. Please provide the exact date of installation and the correct model door and any complaint information and we will gladly address the issue. Please contact us at 401-397-6015. We do not warrantee products that are not installed by our company.

#1. Your doors were not installed correctly because the SPRINGS are too small to lift the doors correctly [from what I understand from your complaint.] This is an installation problem that the door installer should have taken care of when you reported it, but they ignored you so you now have a burnt out motor [because the motor was wrongly left to do all of the lifting, which is why you had a grinding noise]. #2. This same situation happened to me. I will now have to take the door installer to court because it cost me additional money to hire a different garage door person to fix the spring problems. #3. You also may have had the mounting rails installed incorrectly as well. #4. Call a different garage door installer to look at the problem and write up an estimate to fix it. #5. Take the original company to small claims court, and don't bother with an attorney for an install issue that should not be too much to repair. Consult an attorney if you can find one for a reasonable price, but remember that all attorneys have to sell is time. You may be better off getting in front of a judge with all of your paper work to show faulty installation. Get a Judgement against the company. This similar situation happened to me in Connecticut. The wrongful behavior of some contractors is so terrible and then the government does not seem to be motivated to crack down on these bad vendors who rob consumers. Thank you for posting. Hope this helps.
