Tigerman10... posted Feb-09-2011 This American Water Distill is extremely loud and has severly porrly designed features, making it unsafe. The distributor, WE BEAT PRICES.com is the worst, I've ever dealt with. I called 3X to get a UPS tracking no...they never sent it...no packing slip was included. As soon as I opened it, I immediately knew it was far too large for my RV...I called immediately and they said they would NOT let me exchange it for smaller version. After using 3 times...the water tastes like metal and oil and and is totally unfit for drinking. You can never use it in an RV as due to the loud noise for 4 hrs. (I have a home-based office and it's like having microwave on for 4 hrs--6 ft away.) DON'T BUY THE AMERICAN DISTILLER & DO NOT BUY FROM "WE BEAT PRICES.com"...$239 is not cheap. The glass container is totally sealed except for a sm. hole approx. 1 1/2" in diameter so you can never clean inside the pitcher. There are many poor design features. BUY ANOTHER BRAND.
