Websitebackup.com Fraudulent Billing Scam Phoenix Arizona
Received a very convincing looking billing from WebsteBackup. Called the company, did not enter an account number as I was calling to question the legitmacy of said number on the 'invoice'. I used all call options in an effort to speak to a representative. All options get you to the same response in the end, "your hold time is 31 minutes. Please leave a phone number..."
The listed sales number on their website...Same as on the invoice...
I looked up the site on Whois.com. The phone number listed also goes to a voice mail. I give the scam credit for a very convincing looking invoice. If I was not knowledgable regarding my website, I would have passed this along for payment. Made me waste about a hour of my day looking into this.
If you receive one of these...don't pay it, don't bother to call them..just trashcan it and move on.
