Complaint Review: Websource Media - Houston Texas

I understand every one who has gone through this ordeal is upset, so would I if this happened to me. I currently work at Websource Media/Webpoint Usa, and all our sales calls are made by outside telemarketers (everyone in business uses them)they are given a script that goes something like this "were having a 15 day free trial for a website creation and hosting, if you decide not to keep it you could call back within the 15 days to cancel w/ no charges, also we will send additional information within 24 hours". Once the customer agrees to the service they are then taken through a third party verification that restates what the telemarketer has mentioned. This third party verification is for the customer understanding for what they are signing up for. The recording informs the customer that you are signing up for a 15 day free trial website and that we are no way connected to their telephone company and after the 15 days they will be billed a set up fee and hosting. The recording also ask the customer for additional company information that they give, at the end of the recording it asks if they are authorized to incur charges on the telephone number that they provide and are they over 18. The company has a quality control dept. that goes over those orders and if the costomer gives the consent for the website then they create the website. After creating the website the company follows up w/ a welcome letter by: fax,email, and U.S. Postal mail, stating everything the heard from the telemarketer and recording. On the recording the company gives our number twice and on our welcome letter we give out all the necessary info to contact us. When we do get reports that telemarketes tell customers something different we flag the accounts and follow up with the telemarketes room. If the complaints continue we have gone as far as firing the rooms and fining them. It is not our fault that customers are not responsible and don't take the 15 day free trial seriously. We do provide them with all the necessary info to them to call us to cancel. We are not responisble for their employees that goes through the call and don't tell their owners and then want to dispute the charges. When customers call into dispute the chargesw and even if we know we did all the correct procedures and provided all the information to them, we give them their money back. You have to keep in mind that we have thousand of loyal customer and you probably wouldn't know huge business that appreciate our business and have gone through the process that people are complaining about. Keep in mind anyone that answers you business phone can order and charge it through you telephone company because you phone company has third party source they go through and make money from. The people who complain are the ones that don't want to take the responsiblity of their faults or employee faults. Our company is not a scam at all. I'll leave with this for them to think about: IF SOMEONE CALLS YOUR PHONE COLLECT AND THE PERSON THAT ANSWERS THE PHONE ACCEPTS IT, YOU THE PERSON WHO THE PHONE IS UNDER IS RESPONSIBEL AND THE PHONE COMPANY WILL STATE THAT SOMEONE ACCEPTED IT AND THE CHARGES ARE VALID.
