Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am a former employee and All the reports that are written by former patients are completely true. I would never tell anyone to come here. I don't know who comes and goes quicker staff or patients. It was one of the worst places I have ever worked for. It is a newer company not even in existence for 3 years yet so they are still learning how this industry works. The management gets vacations regularly but the coordinators who really need time away never get granted time off. Most staff has over 100 hrs vacation time coming to them when they are either fired or quit and they do not pay it to you. They used to bank our overtime hours which is illegal anything over 40 hours is overtime but since our pay weeks were 2 week periods they made it anything over 80 hours were banked hours which were never paid to us so we worked for free! They can not hold any staff all the way from the Doctors to the janitors leave there. You are on call all day and night no matter what your position is and there is no compensation for this. Many of the staff relapse themselves. What does all this tell you is it everyone or is it the rehab? They hold onto old patients medications and administer them to other patients as needed. Every time DCF comes in they hide things change records and LIE. The lunches are sandwiches and no snacks at night but a fruit and a continental breakfast. These are very hungry patients and the Owner Dr. Moran "claims" he eats the same lunch but it is a lie!! I can go on forever but basically this is a horrible place to work and go for treatment. Before you go there ask these questions how many success stories do they have does anyone ever complete the program successfully? Warning not a good rehab!!

Dr. Moran is a controlled Substance perscription theif. Once patients are discharged or if they leave ama (against medical advice) he refuses to give you any persciptions including controlled substance... that frankly your insurance & you paid for.  He is in such hot water with the DEA it's not even funny.  My girlfriend who I med at the IOP program said that techs were giving her extra suboxone because she knew too much information about Dr. Morans personal life.  Personally I don't care if he falls in love with a cow... just do the right thing.  Your not capable of running your own life Dr. Moran how the hell can you run ours. Just retire your old and useless. Frankly I hope the DEA comes in there and closes that illegal place down. Giving clients bread and water with a side of lettuce if they don't go to group.  So sad maybe we can get a group of IOP clients to sign "Dr Moran is a fraud and he is messing with lives here" under medicates some and over medicates others. He had this one kid on so much suboxone the kid was passing out in group and then he says... I am going to perscribe you adderall to keep you up. Really? This is a quack so man people dislike this man for just cause. I hope he losses everything and lives in one of those s**t hole hotel rooms he puts his clients in... maybe you can breath mold when you loose everything including your lover.

That's a wonderful story I am happy for you and the money Dr. Moran pay his employees.  Interesting fact when I left the treament program after being lied to for about a month. Dr. Moran and his staff refused to give me my medications back. i wonder what Morans private pharmacy is doing with all those controlled substances.  Bins of Subutex and Suboxone is that legal to use someone's insurance file an rx claim and dispense the extra medication to another patient that dr moran whats to scholarship for his lovley tax credit.

It's starting to make sense now. Dr. Moran has a lot of people the are exposing the truth. I would be curious to know how legal that is... oh but wait it's Dr. Moran he is helping to repair the brain. so lets all shut up and let dr. Moran control the world. He thinks he is God right? He clearly is in violation of Laws right? But it's Dr. Moran wow. When will you get it those types of scam rehabs close fast that's all that place is. How much money can Dr. Moran scam from people and insurance companies. I was told that he stays out of network because he does not want any insurance company regulating what he can do and perscribe.

Current Employee is not truthful

The current employee says Dr. Moran doesnt take vacations and thats a blatant lie. He travelled to Paris for a week in March for his birthday, Connecticut for his Niece's wedding in May, New York City for the 4th of July and his extended trips to the Bahamas on one of his yachts once a month. The staff is instructed not to discuss the vacations or trips so that the patients dont take get out of control without him there. The pathology of Moran and his ideas has created the atmosphere of the place, which is like a dictatorship that becomes hostile if you dont do as instructed. Staff works in fear of making a mistake or decision cause of how they will be yelled at infront of both staff and patient or worse fired for not obeying. The employee manual has even been revised numerous times cause of situations that arise when an employee leaves, to the point, everything is based on Moran's idea of business ethics.

Yes, he will not give you vacation pay when you resign if he doesnt want too.

Yes he will reject your vacation request if its around his.

Yes he will withhold your paycheck if your time sheet is not properly filled out without notice.

Yes he will take away a raise he gives, if he deems that person is not doing what they got the raise for without notice

Yes the food is catered but is not high end that patients eat.

Yes he does eat separate meals than patients.

Yes the patients reside in a hotel that still caters to outside patrons.

Yes the transitional living is in a bad neighborhood where the neighbors buy, sell and do drugs.

Yes the patients familes are encouraged not to send money for cigarettes, based on Morans beliefs.

Yes his methods are unorthodox but some people need that kind of treatment to get better.

Yes he takes patients that other treatment centers cant handle

Yes he believes in an indefinite time suboxone program

There are many types of treatment programs out there. All of them have something negative about patient care but not all of them of negatives about the staff as well. Choose wisely whether seeking treatment or employment.

I too am a former employee of Wellington Retreat and must agree with the first employees account and the subsequent most recent report regarding the conditions and treatment within Wellington Retreat of staff and patients. The individual stating to be a current employee above in my experience is not merely an employee but in my opinion would be Zach Levenson the Wellington Retreat Administrative Supervisor and Dr. Robert Moran's business assistant. A 24 year old ex-addict who not only works side by side catering to Dr. Moran, running the business but also resides within Dr. Robert Moran's residence in Delray Beach, Florida. I dont believe that allows for an unbiased opinion about the conditions within Wellington Retreat.

I would like to take this opportunity to share my experience as an employee with Wellington Retreat, Inc.  I have been working at Wellington Retreat for over two years.  I started off as a coordinator working overnight shifts and by working hard my talents were recognized by the owner Dr. Robert Moran.  I want to go on record saying that Dr. Moran is 100% invested in his employees and patients.

I am a recovering addict and have been to many treatment facilities and without a doubt this treatment facility is one of the best.  Yes it is a very structured and a rigourous day, our patients are desperate.  Our patients struggle with disorders that most facilities will not treat. Many of the patients that walk through our doors have been to numerous treatment centers without success. Wellington Retreat is the only treatment center run by a doctor who is there everyday in everyway.  What doctor do you know does that?  Dr. Moran runs groups. He interacts with every patient. Twice a day the staff meets and discusses each and every patient and their treatment.  Dr. Moran is available every hour of the day. When he is not there which by the way is not often, (he doesn't even take a vacation), Dr. Franczek is. Patients get to see a doctor every day 7 days a week. Dr. Moran knows every patient by name and is involved with every moment of their stay at Wellington Retreat.

I would also like to share how much Dr. Moran does for patients who can't afford to be here, he pays for thier medication co-pays, he allows them to stay in our transitional living until they work and can pay him back, he scholarships patients when they have reached the end of their insurance I could go on and on.  He never gives up on the patients that really want to get well. Every patient is an individual and is treated as one and with respect.

As far as employees he pays well above the normal treatment facility standards. Including bonuses, education and helps financially with personal loans. There is so much that Dr. Moran does for his employees and he never asks for anything but loyalty and do the job you are paid to do. Dr. Moran invests in people who invest in Wellington Retreat.

I can't express my gratitude enough. Every day I go in to work knowing I am a part of something unique and important and I know that my dedication and love for this company and Dr. Moran does not go unnoticed. I work hard and so does the staff, we love what we do and it shows.  Yes employees leave and we wish them well in their new career choices.  No one is treated unfairly and everything we do is for the patients that need our help. Patients will also leave because they can't tolerate the structure or they believe they can do it on their own.  We hope we plant a strong enough seed that they will be successful in their choice.  We also will welcome them back if they need us.
