I HAD 2 TICKECTS IN THE SUMMER OF 2008

(1)SPEEDING WHICH WAS ACQUITTED AND

(2)FOLLOWING TOO CLOSE WHICH WAS DISMISSED I INFORMED MY CDL SCHOOL ND WERNERS ENTERPRISES RECRUITER HER NAME IS LISA OF MY 2 RESOLVED OFFENSES THEY HAD TO HAVE A REVIEW BOARD VIEW MY CASE AND THEY FOUND IN MY FAVOR.

SO AT THIS POINT I WAS STARTING MY TRAINING - THIS IS A 300 HOUR TRAINING AND I WAS GETTING PAID $350 AWEEK.AFTER 250 HOURS AND 2 TRAINERS I WAS CALLED INTO A WERNER TERMINAL AND WAS TOLD TO MEET WITH SAFETY.

SAFETY CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICE IN OMAHA NE AND SCOTT DIRECTOR OF APPLICATIONS ASKED WHY I DIDN'T PUT THESE TICKETS ON MY APPLICATION AND THE APPLICATION ONLY ASKED FOR CURRENT TICKET AND WHICH THESE WEREN'T.

SO FOR NOT PUTTING THIS NON CURRENT TICKETS IN THE CURRENT TICKET PORTION OF THE APPLICATION SCOTT TOLD ME I WAS TERMINATED AND HE HUNG UP THE PHONE -- WITH NO CHANCE TO EXPLANE THE ISSUE.

I INVESTED A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY IN A NEW CAREER

WERNER DOES NOT CARE

If the on line application is a duplicate of the paper application, then WERN was correct in dismissing you, sorry for the bad news but there is good news here too!

The exact wording regarding moving violations is as follows:  "Number of moving violations (tickets) in the last 3 years."  Notice EXACTLY the wording.  It does not say: "Number of moving violations which were dismissed!"  It asks you for the number of tickets you received, PERIOD!  It says nothing about "current" tickets.  This is a very small point which has major implications.  Because you said "zero", their immediate justification is you lied on the application!

May I suggest the following, and this is the good news.  For all practical purposes you can kiss WERN good bye for the time being.  But as you continue your search, answer the same question "yes" and then DEMONSTRATE YOUR HONESTY by adding notes to the application of the dismissals and appropriate references to them such as court dates, etc.

Let me also say there are companies which will still hold it against you EVEN IF you had charges reduced.  We can question the ethics of this forever, but it is what it is.

Therefore it is of PRIME IMPORTANCE we keep our driving records clean in the first place!  Come to a COMPLETE STOP...no wheels moving...at stop signs and upon turning right on "red".  Of course, watch your speed and following distance.  These refer to our driving private cars as well.

SHALOM!

Maybe it is on your MVR, as convictions and you are unaware?

It could be that the State you reside in did not acquit you of speeding, nor did they dismiss the other. The only way it would show up on your MVR (at least in most states) is if you were infact convicted. Try getting a copy of your driving record from the State of which your license was issued. You will then be able to see what is on your driving record and try to make corrections where they need to be made so that this does not happen to you in the future.

I learned this myself after I had listed on an application with a company that I had two tickets, because I really thought I had two tickets. I live in Texas and waited years to pay them and was told that they would go on my record for 3 years following the date I actually paid the fines. Only to find that the company pulled my MVR and there was nothing on it at all. Squeeky clean. Apparently, it must have been right backwards for you in your situation. If infact you were acquited, and another was dismissed it should not even show up on your driving record, which is what Werner must have gotten a hold of and saw.

Good luck to you. Hope you are able to find another company if that is what you so wish to do.
