Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I went to Western Dental and had a horrific experience. The doctor who performed the work on my teeth was incompetent. For example, he first tried to tell me that I had three cavities and I asked him to show me which teeth had cavities. He then quickly changed his mind and stated that I only had two cavities and blamed the mistake on the lady who was assisting him (a whole other story). The doctor made careless and negligent mistakes such as continually hitting surrounding teeth with the metal tools that he was using, for example, the drill. The worst part of it all is it took the doctor an hour or two to pull out a tooth and after all the banging, drilling and pulling he still had only managed to pull half of the tooth. I could feel the pain of the doctor trying to remove the rest of the tooth which had obviously spilt in half. It took him so long that the pain medicine was no longer working and I could literally feel the pain of someone pulling out my teeth and the pain went through my whole jaw on the side that he working on. His hand was not stable and slipped a few times cutting my gums really bad with the dental tool. I stopped the doctor after what seemed like a life time and jumped out of the seat and ended the torture. I still have half the tooth in my mouth right now as I am writing this report. I am in excruciating pain. The doctor gave me a prescription for pain, ibuprofen, and for the infection in my mouth, anti-biotic. I believe that I probably need stitches because he cut my gums really bad. I am thinking about going to the hospital and have someone look at my gums. I am thankful that I did not pay anything. Western Dental also tried to make me sign pre authorization for payment before I even had my X-rays done, of course I refused. Thank goodness I did.

Situation Resolved by caring veteran competent dentist

Although I did experience much pain and suffering at the hands of a possibly new professional, inexperienced dentist. The manager, a veteran dentist, actually was sooooo nice and polite that I let him correct the mistakes made by the other inexperienced dentist. Oh my gosh, he did an exceptional job. I was soooo happy I wanted to hug him but I thought this might be inappropriate so I said thank-you with tears in my eyes. I must be honest and let everyone on Ripoffreport know that the situation was rectified in the most respectable way. I am so happy and satisfied with the way the manager handled my extreme complaint not to mention his expertise in this area. He was polite, understanding and willing to listen to me without interrupting or being defensive. He called in the other dentist and he was also polite to the inexperienced dentist when he explained where he possibly had gone wrong. The young dentist was very mature although I detected a slight humiliation which was understandable. The bottom line is I will continue to patronize this business establishment because the dental staff as well as the X-ray technician and the receptionist all treated me with the utmost respect and with an empathetic attitude. I would like to thank the entire staff because my teeth are so important to me. Thankyou
