In two years I been to practically forced to go to Western Dental in Santa Cruz since not many people in my city take Denti Cal and the ones I did go to where not that good.So here I was thinking when I first saw Western Dental in Santa Cruz commercial that this should be better,maybe worth the 30 min drive to Santa Cruz.Well if you are about to go there here's what you should expect and I am not just typing this from one experience BUT SEVERAL EXPERIENCES

They'll give you an appointment time sound really nice & professional on the phone but when you get there expect to see a crowded room since they almost always like to overbook appointments so if your appointment is at 2pm you'll probably been seen at 3 30 if you are lucky and when you get there it's a whole other story front desk is very rude {& if there is a problem w/ your insurance they'll make you wait until your appointment time 2 tell you about it even though it's something you told them about a week or so earlier} but let's say you make it through

After a long wait they take you to the back and then you have to wait just as long to see a dentist and there is this one guy who just seems like he spends most of his time walking up and down as a matter of fact you might see several people as they come and talk to you about what's going on before you actually get seen and when they start work on you they stop & your dentist goes to another patient or two and works of them and comes back to you kinda like musical chairs for them I guess.There has only been two dentist that were the exception that I had work on my teeth and had no problems with as they were friendly,professional,and did great work but they are no longer there :(

The last guy that did a filling for me it cracked at the gum and I been telling them it's been way to sensitive and I might need a root canal and they wanted to wait and see I had to keep going back to them for about 4 times & the last time the dentist that likes to stroll around and was more concerned about getting more money out of me and then WITHOUT XRAY OR LOOKING @ IT & told me to come back and they would see if it needed a root canal well I got new insurance now & turns out I need not only a root canal BUT crown lengthing since the filling they gave me cracked at the gum which the new dentist said "It's clearly visible all of this could have been prevented had they fixed it when it first happened right now it's more filling then tooth " so why wasn't it????

someone needs to investigate them on all counts from their dentists and on how they run their office {especially their accounting}you think this is just one place no research here you'll find similar complaints and also on the better business bureau
