Like many others, I have bad credit. I thought I was improving my situation by getting a car loan through a "bad credit" company, but I didn't realize what kind of a scam Westlake (WFS) is.

I sent my first payment on about the fifth of the month it was due. I figured that since my payment was due on the 28th, mailing on the 5th would be plenty. they finally posted it on the fifth of the next month. thirty days to process a check. that takes talent.

So, I started sending my payments with MoneyGram, since it only takes overnight. I thought that would help. it did, for a while, and it stopped the three to five calls a day.

I got caught up on payments, then lost my job. that happens when you work for the government. I've had multiple interviews, and one job seems pretty promising. But, I'm behind.

By $90.

They are threatening repossession. for $90.

Whenever I call them back, their message box is full, so I can't leave a message. My very pregnant sister uses my cell phone regularly, so she can contact her husband at work if she goes into labor. I have explained this to them on multiple occassions, but they cannot be bothered to actually listen.

If I call them back, and actually get a chance to speak to a representative, and - miracle DO happen - this is one of their representatives who speaks English - they are rude and insulting. They are condescending, demonstrate a clear lack of knowledge about my account or my situation, and I am fed up!

I told them yesterday night that I would be sending the $90 within two days. they then contacted my parents, and were very threatening to my mother. I am really unimpressed with their customer service. they have stopped leaving messages on my voice mail, but that may not be a good thing.

At this point, I am furious. I talked to my roommates, and - what a surprise - WFS repossessed their van for a similar situation!

I don't know what to do at this point. I guess I just continue to pay all of my payments through moneygram, since nothing else seems to be timely.

And find someone else who can finance me.
