Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I for one work for a well known financial institution as a licensed auto/property insurance agent. So, it's safe to say that I'm savvy and highly proficient in my field of expertise.  Yes, I work for a great company, but I don't have great credit. Unfortunately the dealer I purchased a vehicle from did "in house financing" through Westlake Financial.

My first complaint is that every single time that I have made a phone call or received one from them, I have experienced the most horrible customer service in my wh life! I'm not being biased because I have been in customer service since I've starred working. They harass you, raise their voice, have bad attitudes, threaten you, and LIE! I agot pushy pushback when requesting for a sup 0r a manager.

Second of All, billing offered me "full coverage" insurance for 40 dollars a month and told me it could be incorporated in my loan. I, being, as gullible as I was agreed to be transferred to a "licensed insurance agent." At this time, I was not in the insurance industry. But anyways, The person advised me that I would have "full coverage", which as you all know means

1) meets minimum liability state requirements

2) comprehensive and collision because it's being financed

I agreed to the terms and left it at that.

Four months later, I got into an accident. I called westlake financial and was transferred to claims. I made a claim. The police officer asked to speak with th representative, so i gave him the phone. When he showed me the paperwork, it said my insurer was Knight management. I was not advised that my insurance would be through a completely different company. I then received a phone call from the 2nd party's insurance provider stating that I don't have full coverage! I only had comp and collision?? As a licensed insurance agent and as the insurer you are supposed to Ensure my financial security.

1.) misrepresentative of the coverage they said I had when my policy was issued

2)I'm being sued for liability because rep only gave me comp and coll. When issuing a policy I'm Texas, which is where I live, liability is required as the basis of a contract. You can't get full coverage without getting liability. DUH!

3) I want to sue Westlake and/ or their partner Knight Management

They clearly took advantage of me! I want to take it as far as I can and see them in court.

Lesson learned. We need to teach those bastards a lesson!!

I haven't gone after them yet. I'm not sure how to even start a lawsuit or hfree that much free money to do so. I came on here to See if I'm just dumb or if other people have experienced things with them as well. I also filed a report with BBB. I'm just waiting on replies on advice of what course of legal action I can take and if I even have a chance. I'm looking for more ways to report this company because consumers should never be treated in such a way and their company deserves the rep that's already out there.

First of all,  I Work for USAA...no need to argue over the reputation of that company.

Sexond of all, I worked there before the accident so it's not affecting my employment. The accident was recent and not even serious. Triple AAA is coming after me to reimburse them for a minor fender bender. No injury involved.

Third, my credit isnt the worst or the best. This was my first auto loan and I got the vehicle from a local mom and pop type dealer.

Fourth, Ive called them to update contact info, about statements, missed calls, and to request proof of insurance. They harass you with calls many times in advance before payments due. Their representatives are unprofessional and you can clearly hear the tone in their voice screaming out that they hate their job even when it comes to a simple question. When being transferred , the call gets disconnect most of the time.I've gotten to the point where I just ask for a manager off top and there's always pushback and on those calls are where I get disconnected a lot by the rep who doesn't want to transfer to a manager.

Fifth, you're right , I should've reviewed all that info in the contract before I esigned it. But still, they lied about 'full coverage' all they wanted to do was to make sure their property was covered but liability, theyobviously didn't care. In Texas, when creating a policy, there is no option to decline liability coverage but have comp and collision. You have to have the basics before the additives.

This report is at least partial BS...

Your credit won't effect getting your licence.  BUT bad credit can effect your ability to actually get a job and to be bonded, and as such any "major" insurance company wouldn't touch you with a 10-Foot pole if you have credit bad enough that you had to go to a Sub-Prime lender..AND now apparently a pending law suit.

They harass you, raise their voice, have bad attitudes, threaten you, and LIE! I agot pushy pushback when requesting for a sup 0r a manager.

- And just why are you calling them?

Second of All, billing offered me "full coverage" insurance for 40 dollars a month and told me it could be incorporated in my loan.

- And of course you got a document in writing showing you exactly what insurance you bought..right?

As a licensed insurance agent and as the insurer you are supposed to Ensure my financial security

- And as the insured you are supposed to VERIFY what you are getting.

Anyways on the off chance at least some of your report is true...then why haven't you just gone out and sued them?
