Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I've seen ads for massage and escorts (prostitution) on BBRT before so I thought I would try to sell an item that was sex related. My posting was taken down.

I wrote Jim and inquired why and he said BBRT was strickly a sex site. I asked him why he allow prostitution ads, which are clearly unlawful, when I was legally trying to sell a piece of sex furniture. He said that escorting was not prostitution. We both know that these guys are not escorts.

Then I asked why he allowed ads for massage, which is not strictly sexual. He did not respond to explain why so I called him on unfair business practices and informed him that I would file a complaint with the Attorney General in Arizona. I clearly understand that a company's address must be posted somewhere on the website, and inquired as to where it was. He said on the help page, but it was not there. So I went to who.godaddy.com to obtain the information.

I returned to my account to find out it was terminated.

I wrote telling he that he terminated my account out or retaliation for filing a lawful complaint for unfair business practices. I got a copy of the Agreement and he said I violated them so he did not owe me a refund.  I read the terms of use and I did not violate any of them, and if I did, so did others and they were allowed to retain their accounts.

Basically I did not sell drugs and although I did use it for commercial use, which was taken down, clearly when I called him on the discrepancy in business practices, my account was terminated. He did not terminate my ad for commercial use, but for exorcising my rights under the law.

I did file a formal complaint with the Attorney General and will see it through to make this business follow the laws, and to ensure other consumer rights are protected.

I have no problem with consenting adults. I do have a problem with an owner requiring membership for full access to the website, then picking and choosing who is held to the terms and conditions and who is not.

A rebuttal may come back protecting the rights to escorting, but when you have nude pictures, there is intent to have sex for money and that is prostitution.

Thanks

First I would like to say that I am a member of BBRT (barebackrt.com) and have been for over a year, and the last 8 or 9 months I have been a contributor (paid member). I also have a friend that is a contributor on bbrt, and has never had a problem with customer service nor tech support.

BBRT's terms of service clearly state that they do not allow selling of products on their site, period!!!!

And as far as the escort thing, well there again Escort services must be clearly stated in the profile, that is clearly stated in the terms of service as well, period!

Escorts are not prostitutes, Escorts do not charge for sex they charge for their escorting (companionship) services, and yes their profiles tell their likes and dislikes sexually, however they are not selling sex, they are simply expressing their likes and dislikes sexually just like all the other guys on there. So there may be some escorts on there that are also including the sex in the price of their escort services, but there is no way to prove it, and they do not put that on their profile!

And not to mention, none of that is relevant anyway, because it is all clearly stated in their terms of service that you agreed upon when you signed up as a member. If you don't like their terms of service, no one said you had to join their service, simply move on to a site that you can agree with their terms of service, it's that simple, no reason to stress about it. And obviously your states attorney general agrees that there is nothing illegal going on because your AG didn't do anything, and if did they feel such illegal activities was going on they would have contacted the FBI and the FBI would have shut the site down, and obviously the FBI hasn't shut it down, I know I'm still a paid member and was just their about 1/2 hour ago!!

Besides why would you want to be a member of a site you dislike so much? And also how would you have any clue as to whether or not someone else has been able to retain their account, when you cannot even log-in? Idiot!
