Williams & Scott Assoc CashNet Express, Mr. Santana, Maggie Williams Cyber Crime Unit has complaint filed against me for on-line fraud, check fraud, ready to arrest me. Campbell, California
Calls started coming on Friday (4/09/10) threatening me with a "cyber crime" and I was going to be arrested at my place of employment within two hours. The person (Mr. Santana?!) has a very heavy accent and way to much background noise to be calling from the law offices he said he represented (Williams & Scott.) He stated that I took out an on-line cash payday loan with CashNet Express "sometime in 2009" and did not pay it back. Therefore a legal complaint had been filed against me and I was going to be served papers and arrested at my place of work within two hours. He became very vocal when I said I wasn't at work and he told me I better get there now. Of course, if I wanted to conclude this matter immediately and he would call off the law enforcement, all I need to do was send a "hand written and signed" letter stating that I agreed to pay the amount due of $810.45 (strange how the call started with a balance owing of $4,584.57) and he would process it throught my account. He already had all my personal information, SS#, banking info accounts, as he informed me of all this information in the first minute of the phone call. Of course, my heart is now racing, I can't breathe, my blood pressure is skyrocketed. I took a deep breathe, then went into the internet and searched for "CashNet Express" and l look what I found! As soon as I informed "Mr. Santana" of what I found, he became verbally abusive and wished me luck in jail. I hung up on him. I have now received 5 phone calls at home, and 3 at work. They also have contacted my dad on a throwaway cell phone number that he has. I intend to file a complaint with the attorney general, Cash Net USA and maybe start a class action lawsuit. Good Luck to all others deal with this scum of humanity.

They're frauds, you don't owe anything and they can't arrest you.
They're trying to panic you into sending money.

I just received a call from an individual saying he was with the law firm Willams & Scott. He said his name was Brian Adams and his phone number is 213-550-4451. He stated that three charges were being filed against me. I contacted CashNet and Pay Day Loans. They both stated this was FRAUD and people should not be providing any debit card or credit card information to the callers.
