My boyfriend & I booked a hot air balloon ride with this company & the first time it was cancelled "due to the weather." This continued for five more times. After the fifth cancellation the pilot/owner Scott van der Horst refused to refund our money. He told us that he could not refund the money but we did have the option to transfer the voucher to someone else within the year. Scott was rude when we asked him for a refund, he just flat out said "NO, try and transfer the voucher to someone else like I told you before."
Scott never made an attempt to meet us in the morning & drive an hour to another location where the weather could possibly be better. Each time he would call us the night before sometimes as late as 9:30 p.m. and tell us he was cancelling "due to the weather."
Wine Country Balloons is a Division of Sonoma Thunder Inc. Sonoma CA. Such a large company and they refuse to refund the consumer, instead they take your money and argue with you if you ask for your money back.
