I thought I'd make some extra money doing surveys on the net. Boy, was I wrong! Since registering with several internet survey sites, I've been hounded by spams (which they say on the sites they don't do), had to turn off cookie killer (it's required for the jury sites), and had my phone ringing off the hook with telemarketers.

Now, every time I try to get Google up to get on the net, this winhundred.com's website pops up. I never signed up to have them as my homepage. If I did, I was tricked somehow into doing it. It's just like playing the lottery, which I would NEVER do. There is NO WAY I would voluntarily ask for their site to come up every time I get on the net. You can unsubscribe, but it takes several days for them to remove you from their list. In the meantime, you're stuck with this annoying page coming up every time you get on the net. It must have happened somehow when I signed up for one of these other sites.

Beware of these freebie or give-away sites. They act like they're giving you something for free, but it isn't. You have to accept several sponsored offers before they will send you the "freebie". Most of the offers, in fact all as far as I'm concerned, are useless. For example, there are offers for weight loss, medical problems, mortgages, credit cards, vacations, debt reduction, and so on. They check to make sure you actually accepted and got the credit card etc. before you can receive their "freebie".

Most of the survey sites are just free ads for companies. Most don't pay you anything, but you're entered for a chance at some prize. You have about as much chance of getting something as winning the lottery.

There are also sites that for a fee will give you the links to other sites which they say offer money or prizes for doing surveys. So far, I've gotten $10 from one of those sites. Trust me, it's a waste of time and only gains you a lot of headaches. You can't make enough money to make it worth your trouble. The sites that charge you, charge up to $40 or more for just giving you site lists. Half the sites listed on highestpaysurveys.com are either prize sites, aren't even doing surveys anymore, or don't exist anymore. They say the list is updated, but it always looks the same. Save your money!

Don't even try to get your money refunded by these sites. You'll never even get a reply let alone satisfaction. The number of emails I have to sift through, and the number of telemarketing phone calls I've gotten has tripled over the last few weeks. It's been a nightmare. Don't let it happen to you. If you ever get emails offering free goods for just a few minutes of your time, delete them. Whatever you do, don't give these people your email address or phone number. Before I knew it, I was inundated.

I could write a book on so-called "home-based businesses". MLM's all. That's multi-level-marketing. You don't want anything to do with those either unless you like selling other people on selling other people... That's what they're all about. Beware when they say they aren't MLM's. That's when you know they are.

The net is a great tool, opening up many doors that some of us would never get an opportunity to enter. There are also dangers out there. There are many people who are just out to take other people's money. If you're not careful, they'll take yours!
