Reservation Rewards-Fraud-UPDATE

#4Consumer Suggestion

I reported last week about how Reservation Rewards got my credit card number, and started charging me $9.00 per month, for something I had no use for, I'm not even sure they preform a Srrvice, other then counting the money they Ripped-Off from the UNSUSPECTING Shopper, I had purchased a Canister set in California directly from a Company's web page, online, I paid online with my Discover card on a secure Web site, But the company I purchased the set from uses a Check out Service called Virtual Focus, it's a Cart service that handles the money for a fee for sellers, during the Check Out process, there are many boxes for the buyer to check, and in very small print, the one box states that "you do not want the rewards" if that box is left unchecked you will start receiving a charge on your account, mine was for $9.00 per month, they have a racket going, I made three long distance phone calls to put an end to this TOTAL RIP OFF, the first was to my Discover Card to dispute the $9.00 charge, Discover is the one that told me the origin of the charges, my second call was to the place I bought the Canister Set, they were unaware of what Virtual Focus was doing, and they IMMEDIATELY put an end too their contract with Virtual Focus, I then called Virtual Focus and POLITELY instructed them to remove my name and account from their records, it was a lot of long distance phone calling but it worked, there was not a charge on this months credit card statement, My advice to everyone, ESPECIALLY if you purchase anything online that uses the CART SERVICE from Virtual Focus,is to watch the very small print, and read it over & over again & again and make sure you understand it 100% to avoid the hassel I had to go through

I also got stuck with a $9.00 monthly charge from this so called company that does nothing but count your money, I'm disabled confined to a wheelchair so I have no use for Travel or Hotel discounts, I did buy a Canister set from a company in Calif. Not on Ebay, they use a check out Service called "VIRTUAL FOCUS , it a cart service shopping cart service who handles the money for the sellers, the seller of the Canister set had to turn over my Credit Card Info to them, when you use that check out service, in the very small print there is a box, if you check the small box, that means that you do NOT want the ReservationRewards service, most people like myself did not even see the small box, left it unchecked, therefore they stick you with the charge on your credit card, they must be making hundreds of thousands of dollars with their racket, VIRTUAL FOCUS Check out Shopping cart is the one that is SCREWING the Public, I would be happy to answer anyones questions about this racket, post your questions below. Thank you
