Since I have opened my account with this bank there have been many different issues. In specific, for this month alone, $64 dollars have been taken out of my account which could have been prevented if each time that i go withdraw funds from an ATM that is not a Woodforest ATM 2 extra dollars is taken out of my account on top OF the already 50-2.50 that is taken out of my account to that bank. That has been 8 dollars for this month.

For example:

7/4/2007 Fee ATM SWITCH WDL/TRF FEE $2.00

7/4/2007 Fee ATM SWITCH WDL/TRF FEE $2.00

7/4/2007 ATM ATM QUIKTRIPSTORE934PLANO TX $71.50

7/4/2007 ATM ATM 6465Preston Rd.USPlano TXUS $501.75

You see that 2 dollars was taken for each in addition to the fee that has already been taken out. When I called Customer Service all they would say is that it SHOULD have been explained to me when i first got my account through them but it wasn't. This has caused many overdraft fees for example:

7/7/2007 Deposit DEPOSIT $20.00 (-$29.38)

7/6/2007 Fee OD FEE $32.00 (-$49.38)

7/6/2007 Point of SalePOSNTTATOLLTAGPLANO TXUS $40.00 (-$17.38)

7/4/2007 Fee ATM SWITCH WDL/TRF FEE $2.00 $22.62

7/4/2007 Fee ATM SWITCH WDL/TRF FEE $2.00 $24.62

You see that 4 dollars were taken out for atm fees and then a POS went through on the 7/6 for 40 dollars. I called the bank and asked them if I put a check in the drop box will I be okay. The representative said yes. But this was not true because sometime during the late night a Overdraft fee came out equaling $32 dollars and since the night before the rep said that i would be fine i went ahead and made another transaction believing that the 20 dollars that i put in the drop box would cover it but not knowing that the 32 dollar OD fee would come out and affect this so now i was not only that 32 dollars overdrafted but an extra 32 for the second transaction. Which makes the $64 dollars.

Now that i have had a deposit go into my account and i have had to go to the atm to get funds out of my account 2 more atm fees have been taken out. I am very upset and i have already talked to the branch manager and all he has to say is he is sorry and since it is not a bank issue they can't do anything about it. But he is wrong. They are ripping people off and everytime that i have had an issue and i called customer service they just transfer me to the branch manager and they are never able to assist.

I don't see what they do and I can't understand how this company is being able to rip people off. This will not be the only place that i file this report. i AM GOING TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT WITH THEM. I HAVE FILLED A BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU REPORT AND HOPEFULLY I WILL GET MY MONEY BACK. THIS IS ONLY A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE MONEY THEY HAVE TAKEN FROM ME THIS YEAR FOR MISCELLANEOUS THINGS. I AM CURRENTLY WAITING FOR THEM TO ALLOW MORE THAN 14 TRANSACTIONS HIT MY ACCOUNT OF WHICH 90 PERCENT ARE FROM MORE THAN TWO DAYS AGO. I WANT ALL THIS TO GO THROUGH SO THAT I MAY SWITCH BANKS. I AM JUST SO SICK AND TIRED OF PAYING THEM ALL THIS MONEY AND NOT SEEING ANYTHING IN RETURN.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESN'T HELP. I HAVE ALREADY OPENED ANOTHER ACCOUNT IN A DIFFERENT BANK AND I WANT TO TELL EVERYONE TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS BANK.

Not the bank's fault

It's common knowledge that the ATM fees are deducted from your bank account everytime you use a foreign ATM. You were told this, it is in your terms and conditions pamphlet you received when the account was opened, and quite frankly, you have to be from a deserted island to not be aware of this policy. The bank didn't rip you off. The BBB won't help you, neither will anyone else. Double-dipping, as it's called, has been going on for years and years. You have an account at Bank-A and make an ATM withdrawl at Bank-B. Bank-B takes 2.00, and Bank-A takes 1.50. So, that $20.00 withdrawl costs 23.50. Get used to it.
