Woodhaven Homes is a dishonest, deceptive, and devious company. They informed all homeowners in my neighborhood that no HOA or CCR's were in existence and homeowners would have the option to vote whether to implement an HOA after neighborhood was full.

Come to find out more than a year later, CCR's WERE in effect and we were all mandatory members of an HOA whether we knew it or not. An actual homeowner and their attorney had to be the ones to find this information- Woodhaven refused to provide it. Now Woodhaven will not even live up to their obligations as Declarant in the CCR's.

Declarant is clearly responsible for providing gutters & downspouts to all homeowners in the neighborhood according to the CCR's but refuses to do so, and refuses to reimburse those homeowners who have already incurred this expense. They insist on hiding behind the Binding Arbitration clause in the sales contract, even when this is clearly related to the CCR's.

Several homeowners are trying to take them to Small Claims Court, however even if they force us to the arbritration sinkhole, we will make sure that potential Woodhaven home buyers learn the truth about their dirty dealings!

More of the sad truth about Woodhaven Homes

And here's another big problem that we have had with Woodhaven. We selected a "premium" lot so that our property would back up to a greenbelt and city park. During and after construction of our home, their subcontractors used the area behind our property as a dumping ground for building materials and whatever else they wanted to trash. Woodhaven promised they would clean up the greenbelt, but never did. We finally contacted the Texas No Dumping Hotline in hopes they would get Woodhaven to clean up their act. About a month later, they finally sent someone out to pick up the trash. (Mind you, this is after my husband and I spent a total of two days piling up all the bricks, chunks of concrete, and general trash because we knew they would do a half-a$$ job. We had about six or eight HUGE piles or debris weighing in at well over a ton.) Come to find out, the guys they sent out only picked up about 2/3 of the mess and THREW the rest of the debris further out into the wooded greenbelt where they expected us not to find it!!! You can find the bricks from our home going back into the wooded area about 200 feet! We didn't pay to live next to a landfill, but that's apparently what we got.
