I received an opportunity to speak from one of my partners respected partners. He had informed me of an organization that was completely ready to invite speakers and it was a renowned organization. I was under the impression that they would treat their speakers well since they had multiple locations. I was initially interested in having my venture fund look into possibly partnering and helping the World Marketing Summit India in the future years to come. It was a commitment I made based on the conversations I had with one of the initial organizers Tauseef Zia. I had already mentioned my fees and that the organization was required to reimburse me for my travel.

Tauseef had kept stringing me along with the event and when the event was getting pretty close, I had booked my tickets since they seemed pretty close to close sponsors. I even mentioned that I would accept an “IOU” from them because the partnership would be a win-win. Despite my extra mile of going to help this organization out, I received a correspondence from another organizer by the name of Faisel Zaiuden who mentioned that I would not be reimbursed even if they did receive sponsorships and totally turned the whole situation around to make it seem like it was my fault for booking the tickets, committing to the organization to speak, and then getting away with taking advantage of my value. This is a total scam and I strongly suggest you avoid them at all costs. They will try to take every penny out of you and leave you with nothing and give you excuses like we will “sponsor your company” or “invite you to an exclusive dinner” – I paid over $3000 for a trip and the organization doesn’t know what they are doing when it comes to creating an event. You should never commit speakers without having sponsors. That’s events 101.

They made cry before going on stage, told me I was "blackmailing" them, and it was an extremely hostile environment. I lost $3000 with this event and feel traumatized. They don't value you or your time.

At the end of the day, World Marketing Summit of India is a total scam. Please save your money and avoid it at all costs.
