We purchased a vehicle from Worldwide Auto in West Valley City, Utah in March of 2009. We put $1000.00 down on the vehicle over the phone after agreeing on $5000.00 as the total price of the vehicle, including all fee's and sales tax. We went to the dealership the next day to pick up the vehicle and pay the remaining $4000.00. After arriving at the dealership we were told that it would be an additional $346.80 for sales tax and $100.00 for a dealer document fee. We then repeated the conversation we had on the phone the day prior to no avail. We either had to pay another $446.80 or lose our down payment of $1000.00. We didn't really feel we had a choice so we agreed to pay the additional money for the car, however all we had brought with us to the dealership was $4000.00. The dealer agreed to let us take the car home and mail the remainder when we could get it, at which point they would mail the title. Needless to say we paid the remainder and they mailed the title on April 28th using Fed Ex. Fed Ex says they left the envelope on our front porch on the 30th. We did not receive the title however and now have a car with no title and no way to register it. We have talked to Fed Ex and World Wide Auto numerous times. Fed Ex has sent them a claim for which they refuse to submit unless we give them $295.00 for a duplicate title. Fed Ex also has to give them $100.00 insurance since they didn't disclose the value of the package. So World Wide Auto would be receiving $395.00 between us and Fed Ex and guess how much it would actually cost them to file for a duplicate title? Oh 6 Freaking Dollars! This dealership lacks ETHICS, MORALS, VALUES, AND BRIANS! I would not send my worst enemy to World Wide Auto or getwwa.com!

Paid a $1000 deposit then googled the VIN and found the real pictures of the accident. Tried to get my deposit back but could only get 50%. I got somewhat lucky but definitely scammed and upset. Is there any ways to start a class action against them? they're just scamming everybody there must have a way to stop this. I'm ready to chip in. Let me know [email protected]

This guy sounds like Santiago....one of the owners of the company.  He is arrogant and condescending.  He is willing to put your life at risk to make a profit.  Do not be fooled by these idiots.

Really? You are complaining about TAX, TITLE and DOCUMENTATION FEE? You mean the same costs you pay for EVERY vehicle, whether it is new, used or salvage? It is called the LAW. You have to pay tax on sales my friend, you also must pay for the titling and the cost for them to administer the car insurance on the lot, and lot storage fees.

This had to have been your first car purchase! Every car I have ever owned I have had to pay the same fees, it isn't something they make up.

Also, the doc fee is listed CLEARLY on their website and you should just know that taxes are paid on any sale if the business is legit.

You should have gotten the money and come back, really it was an extra $300. Seems like you were trying to scam them, sure I will send you the money. I am surprised they let you drive it off the lot.

Now the retitle fee seems high but then again, why didn't you do your homework. They didn't do anything unethical, they charged you the amount owed by law.

I bought a car from them and only paid $150 for document fee. Car is great and I only spent $3500 on repairs. I did my research unlike some ppl who jump at the reduced sticker price.

Good luck, hope you get your title, for the price of the car and the money you saved buying non-salvage you should really stop sounding like such a cheap skate.
