I am a repeat customer with this company and have ordered dozens of wigs over the past five or six years. All but one looked as good or better than pictured. The colors are very close to those shown. Colors are never exact in a picture due to differences in lighting. The quality and quantity of hair and the fit have been great. I have never had to return one. One time the wig I ordered was on back order and their Customer Service called me when it was available to confirm I still wanted it, and they sent it right away. I have never seen a wig on their website that cheap except for costume wigs, and, of course, they are not the same as a real wig you would wear on a regular basis. I love this company and will continue to order from them.

I emailed WoW Wigs to ask them about your complaint as I was going to be ordering from Canada and did not want to lose money or be sent the wrong wig. They emailed me back and said your claims were untrue...that the wig was in bad shape and...basically that they credited you rather than supply a replacement because they felt you might return the new wig again in poor condition. I was going to buy from them, but dare not now.Does any one else have any comments about WOW Wigs? They say they have been in business for 5 years and have a good reputation.

Charlene, I sent this several days ago. It must not have went through. I'm sending it again. I'm so sorry to hear that this was for your little sister. I thought that she had cancer. Now that I read your message more carefully, I see it was from surgery. I pray that she is doing better. It's funny. We all make plans for tomorrow, as if we are guaranteed that tomorrow is always going to be there for us. It takes something like this to make you realize that every day is important. You never know how many you have left. I'm sure that your little sister would appreciate a wig very much. It may take as long as a year for her hair to reach the same length it was before the surgery. I use my local yellow pages to find things I need. I also use sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome! Thank you, Paul, and you are absolutely right. I can argue with nothing you said. I just saw something that I thought might lift the spirits of my baby sister after all she has been through. I just can't believe that these people can be so heartless and unprofessional, yet continue to carry the endorsement of Yahoo. Live and learn, huh.

Charlene, your posting caught my eye. I'm 5 to 10 miles from Fullerton, Ca. I think I can suggest two things to you. First, never buy over the web, or over the phone. I'm here in southern California, so everything I could possibly want is within 10 miles. I drive to a real store. I look over the product. I research the going price beforehand. I weigh all my options. Then, and only then, do I make an informed decision to buy. I've seen too many problems with people who buy over the web or phone, or even a catalog. Perhaps a reputable catalog company like Lands End or something would be fine. But, what if I get the wrong size? Who needs the hassle of the return? I never use a credit card. Don't own one. Tons of money. No need for credit. I don't use a debit card. No checking account for someone to tap into either. Read all the postings here about how people have given out bank and credit numbers only to have extra deductions taken out. AOL does this, I read. They make a free offer. Then deduct from your credit card anytime they like. That's why you never give out a number that leads to your money. Even if you use a credit card in person, the company could manually enter the number again after you are gone. They could bill you any number of times. They could max out the card if they chose. Why take that chance? When you pay in person with cash, the payment stops right there. They only get what you give them, and no more. And because you are standing right there, you are sure to get your merchandise. Perhaps it may be wrong after you open the box at home. I only purchase from businesses with acceptable return policies. Unfortunately, this is the way of the world anymore. I'm sure some great stuff gets sold on ebay. Unfortunately, I'll never spend one red cent there. Too much fraud. I'm sure the vast majority of companies in the mail order business are 100% reliable. Unfortunately, I never take the chance. Trust nothing. Give nobody the chance to cheat you. If you want my money, you're going to have to go into the bank with dynamite and a hell of a big drill. I got no numbers that will provide access to anything. As you see, some companies will charge you what they want. They make up the policy. Screw you if you don't like it. After reading your post, I believe you 100%. Perhaps, the wig was jostled in the box on the return trip. I'm not sure what they got back. My second bit of advice concerns price. A $25 wig is pretty cheap. I would expect a good wig to cost several hundred. So, I already know going into the deal that I'm not paying much. So, I wouldn't expect to get much. But, they certainly should have got the color right. They may have been out of stock and sent you anything they had as a replacement. I'm really sorry to hear this happened. The amount was fairly small, but it's certainly more than you had to throw away. You spent hours of your time on all this. That's worth something, too. And, at this point, you are out $21. Plus, the anger isn't healthy. All in all, I'd say drive to a wig store next time. Make all your purchases in person. With cash. Don't ever use a check. Or a card number. Why take the chance? I can honestly say that I have never gotten taken by following this rule. Yes, somebody could be selling a real, giant gold bar the size of a microwave on the internet for $20. Unfortunately, I'll miss out on it, because I always see what I'm buying before I pay. In today's world, that seems like the only sensible way to do business. It's the age of the Enrons. We can't expect a fair deal from the world anymore. This kind of nonsense used to be confined to back-alleys and bar-rooms. Nowdays, corporate America is doing it. My trust is gone. And, I suspect you have a lot less of it after this. PS-I hope your friend with cancer is recovering. Check local for an acceptable wig for her. Good luck, Charlene.

Since this posting, I have sent & received email from this place. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business. I will share it with you... (from me to WOWWIGs.com) Unless you sent me the wig in an unacceptable condition, then I should receive a replacement one because I never even put the wig on my head. All I did was take it out, look at the color, which was nothing like the picture, and return it. This is really no way to do business nor to get return customers. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that wig when I returned it! And for me to give you money for absolutely nothing is absurd. You can't be serious about this????? (from WOWWIGs.com to me) The package was destroyed and the wig was not in resalable condition and has to be thrown away. We charge $15.00 restocking fee even for exchanges as you can see on our store policy. We try out best to accommodate customers but can't take anything that comes in. (from me to WOWWIGs.com) Well then, send me back my wig, because I really don't believe you. You might want to check this out, also. http://www.ripoffreport.com (from WOWWIGs.com to me) As we told you, you should have respected and followed our policy. (from me to WOWWIGs.com) As I told you, I did respect and followed your policy! You are the ones that are in the wrong here. But, because of your underhanded practices, anyone using a search engine to look up WOWWIGs will have access to the facts on how you operate! (from WOWWIGs.com to me) Thanks for doing that.I hope you are satisfied now. If you shop somewhere else, please follow their policy. They are a real class act, aren't they. I will notify Visa of this, also. People like this need to go back to where ever they came from!
