Looking to earn some extra cash before xmas, I contacted 'Crimsdating", a male companion/escort provider. Shortly after providing minimal personal details (No photo required), I received an E-mail with the following information: they would be able to supply me with 6 to 12 bookings a month, my payment for an evening would be a minimum of 390 pounds, I had a guaranteed booking for friday- hotel based 9pm in my specified region. To become active on their system, I had to send Crimsdating 150 pounds in cash by Royal Mail Special Delivery; this was a registration fee and commission for my first three bookings, refundable at any time. So I sent the money. No details of the booking were forwarded and when I telephoned, I was told that my date had been put forward to the following week. Attempts to recoup my money were unsuccessful. It was not possible to contact Crimsdating on their landline immediately before and after Xmas - an answerphone message stated that their phone was out of order. When I managed to contact them in the New Year on their landline no., I was greeted with "Hello. Confidential Dating." It didn't take much to put two and two together: Crimsdating had resurfaced as 'Confidential Dating'. So punters beware! It's the same scam with a new name!
