I "contracted" with rentalcars.com for a Ford Mustang at a killer price, and was told to go to Dollar Rental Car to pick it up. When my husband went to pick it up he signed all the necessary forms. We turned it in, all the time thinking we had paid $400. Wehn I got my cc bill, the charge was $900. I first tried to fight it with AmEx, but Dollar rental car said I owed them $900. I contacted rentalcars.com and they told me exactly this: "We can confirm that the prices provided for payable locally reservations are estimated and can change when you pay and collect the rental." COMPLETE AND UTTER SCAM!!!
