A very nice and talkative college aged girl came to my door selling magazines to pay for her University of Central Florida drama club to perform in London. The magazines would be sent to burn victims at Arnold Palmer's Children's Hospital. She said her name was ANGEL GERMAIN, and that she lived just one block away, which made sense since she arrived on my door by way of a tiny push schooter. She also stated that she'd be happy to wash my car or take my dog for a walk in gratitude for helping her out.
After several weeks the check I had written had not been cashed and I decided to contact the company on the receipt she provided me WWW.SALESFIRSTCLASS.COM. This website provides no means of contacting the company whatsoever, aside from email which I wasn't going to hold my breath for. After conducting a simple search for the company name, and the name ANGEL GERMAIN, I found another Rip-Off Report notification describing and identical story with a woman by the same name.
Personally I feel that, unless they are girl-scouts selling cookies, it's too risky to buy anything from solicitors these days. Protect your safety and security and just turn them all away.

ANGEL GERAMIN IS A SCAM ARTIST THAT SHOWED UP IN PALMETTO BAY, FLORIDA 33157 ON 10/20/10 RIDING THE SAME PUSH SCOOTER, CARRYING A LAMINATED PAPER WITH THE CHILDREN BOOKS TO CHOOSE FROM & A BOTTLE OF DRINKING WATER.
SHE STATES SHE IS A NEIGHBOR THAT IS RASING MONEY & POINTS TOGO TO LONDON FOR DRAMA CLUB PERFORMANCE BY SELLING THESE CHILDREN BOOKS.
SHE IS EXTREMELY TALKATIVE & TOLD THE SAME STORY OF GOING TO LONDON WITH HER DRAMA CLUB IN NOVEMBER TO PERFORM ON STAGE.
SHE STATED SHE IS HELPING ANOTHER KID WHO HAS A SCHOLARSHIP AND CANT AFFORD TOGO. ALSO STATED HER FATHER WAS AN EX-MARINE COLONEL.
SHE WILL TELL YOU THAT IF YOU DONT HAVE CHILDREN YOU CAN DONATE THE BOOKS TO MIAMI CHILDRENS, ARNOLD PALMERS, OTHER HOSPITALS & CHARITIES.
SHES SKINNY WITH BROWN HAIR AND LIGHT STREAKS AND DRESSED HIPPYISH WITH A LONG NECKLACE THAT SHE HAS HER PEN CLIPPED TO.
SHE WILL SHOW YOU A GREEN PAPER ID WITH A PICTURE AND NAME.
MAKE A COPY OF IT IF YOU GET THE CHANCE & FORWARD TO LOCAL POLICE.
SHE WILL TELL YOU SHE NEEDS TO RAISE $3000 FOR THE TRIP AND SHE WILL ASK YOU TO GUESS HOW MUCH SHE HAS ALREADY RAISED.
HER ANSWER WILL BE I ALREADY RAISED $2750 AND ONLY NEEDS A FEW MORE POINTS AND SALES.
DONT OPEN YOUR DOOR TO HER, CALL & NOTIFY THE POLICE AT ONCE THAT THESE SCAMMERS ARE IN THE AREA.
TO ATTEMPT TO GET A REFUND YOU MUST COMPLETE AND SEND IN THE NOTICE OF CANCELLATION ON THE BACK OF YOUR RECEIPT WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS.
FLORIDA LAWS STATES THAT YOU HAVE 3 BUSINESS DAYS FROM THE PURCHASE DATE TO CANCEL ANY ORDERS THAT WERE DONE BY DOOR TO DOOR SALES.
A REFUND SHOULD BE ISSUED WITHIN 10 DAYS AS FLORIDA LAW, BUT STATES ON THE NOTICE OF CANCLELATION FORM THAT YOUR REFUND WILL BE ISSUED WITHIN 30 BUSINESS DAYS.
PLEASE DO NOT DONATE OR PUCHASE ANYTHING FROM A DOOR TO DOOR SALES PERSON UNLESS YOU EXPECTING THEM AND THEY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT.
