I appreciate Amanda's Ripoff Report to the Teach Me To Trade seminar, as I experienced the same seminar in Florida 2 years ago. What she has to say has merit, as, it was a 'low upfront fee' to participate in the 3-day seminar that taught lay-investors the basics of investing. Although they did press heavily for 'follow-on' trainining, to the tune of 9K like she mentioned; I can't find fault with the minimal investment seminar. I actually don't even remember if I paid $200 for the seminar, or if it was free. My only regret to their additional information was that I didn't have the extra $9K to follow up with. Since the seminar though, I've began actively trading stocks and options in an OptionsXpress account, and am forevermore grateful for attending the seminar. It provided me with an insight and level of understanding about the fundamentals of trading that I've not attained elsewhere. I've read O'Reilly's CAN-SLIM books, I've read Peter Navarro's books and lectures, but NOTHING has prepared me for trading like the hands-on seminar provided by Teach Me To Trade. I subscribe to their "Investors Tools" online for a while, and it provided me with volumes of information; and I went with a recommended online investment tool. During the brief seminar, I learned about Candlesticks, Charting, Fundamental and Technical Analysis, had questions answered about Relevance Charts, MACD analysis, the various 'trading tools' such as Fibonaci and Murray analysis. All-in-all, I came away from the seminar with much more information than I went in with, and while they did press for follow-on training for 'advanced trading' to include trips to the Chicago Board of Options Exchange (CBOE) I retain that my largest regret is not having more money available to pay them to educate me. I would and have recommended the TMTT seminars to everyone who expresses an interest in trading, as I had a very positive experience with the company, and felt that their representatives, from the presenters to the advisors were all very knowledgable and very professional.
