I CANNOT stress enough to ANYONE who is looking for a job to stay away from the Yasny Communications Group in San Diego and their deceptive practices!!!

Cydcor is the parent company with several comoplaints on this web site, Rip-off Report.

Much has been written about their awful 'parent' company Cydcor. I assure you that the groundwork for exploitation that Cydcor has been known for is in full force with these ethically bankrupt subhumans. In particular, the lying 'c***' who runs the business named Sara Beth King.

It's not just me, there's COUNTLESS others who have been ripped-off. The management covers-up for each others lies. I don't know what kind of parents raised these sickening people... they should be ashamed of their offspring. I could write a novel on all the incongruencies and stupid rhetorical jargon that was forced upon me and the other unknowing victims, but I'll just summarize it with saying that from top to bottom, it is ALL a pack of LIES!

I, along with at least 4 other people have reported them to the Department of labor in California (I'm sure there's more too!). Spineless as they are, they refused to show up to defend their stance. As of now, I along with 4 for other people AT LEAST are owed over TWENTY (that's right, 20) THOUSAND DOLLARS in penalties and pay! Before I see a dime, they'll probably close their doors without warning to avoid the ugly past they are looking to run away from. So that's why I'm reporting this here.

I challenge ANY person who works for these spineless pigs to defend your hapless company on this board.

Come at me with what you have! That's right, I'm calling you out Sara Beth King and the other cronies who work for you!

Juice on that...

I was looking at Careerbuilder last night and saw an ad for Miami Marketing Works. It looked liked a Cydcor ad so I punched up the company website and wow was the site cheaply done. How this chick stays around is beyond me. I worked out of her Charolette office a few years ago. By the way she still owes me over $200.00!!! I thought she finally was out of the business but I was wrong. Anyone interviewing with this company beware. South Florida doesn't deserve to have as sumbag like Rob Reger and now SBK working there.

Cydcor is all about misleading. Misleading everyone from their "clients" to their employees. I worked for Comex Advertising in San Diego before the other office moved in. Let me preface I did decent (by the standards of most ) in this business, even got a Top Leader award in 02 but got turned off once I got close to management and saw how people were treated. I quickly realized I was not capable of leetching off people as the "managers" of this international organization do. So I left much to my managers dismay - as I was the top salesperson in the office with the largest "crew." All the members of my crew promptly left after I did and the office folded. I did learn about sales techniques and impulsing people that has helped me in my career in advertising/design. I also became a stronger person from the demanding pace. However at what cost? I worked 10-12 hours a day, used my own car, my own phone, and my relationships with both my g/f and friends suffered greatly. It really was not worth it - it was pretty much a waste of 9 months of my life. I would advise anyone who is involved with this company to get out now. Or at the very least have a real "heart to heart" with your manager - ask them real questions and don't let them "5-step" around you, demand answers. Believe me this business becomes your life - even if you are successful. Ask your mamanger and leaders this....What good is all this supposed money if you have no time to spend it? It's not worth it, and there is no such thing as fast money.

Well folks I worked for YASNY Communications Inc., in Charlotte NC back in 2001. The office just opened a few months before I started. Sara Beth King just moved down from Raliegh NC. Well first off I was desperate for a job and I was sucked into the whole "management opportunity." My first week I made pretty decent money, but week two was when I realized what a sham it all was. We were running a campaign for an office supply company in Knoxville, TN. When I had to share a room with 5 other guys, I was disgusted. What a joke. However, I stuck to it and went door to door and handed out the coupons. By the time I got back to Charlotte, I quit and was expecting my $800.00 in pay. I never received it, but I wasn't shocked. The way the business was run I just happy to cut my losses and never deal with it again.

I worked for Yasny Group for five weeks in San Diego in late 2003. I can attest to all the complaints about this company I have read about in the RipOff Report. I quit simply because I was not making enough money. But, I was expecting a paycheck I never saw. I closed two deals in my time there for what was supposed to amount to about $250. I addition to this, I was promised $100 for SBC training (when they switched the campaign from SBC to First Horizon, they told me that I would see this money regardless of sales quotas) and $100 for a day in which they asked me to do data entry at the office for three to four hours. The only paycheck I ever saw was one for a measly fourteen dollars! I called Sara Beth King repeatedly in the ensuing months. She continually assured me that I would receive the money. Sure enough, it never arrived. Eventually, the phone to the office got disconnected, so I decided to show up in person. To my dismay, it had been vacated. How knows what happened to Yasny Group. I like to believe that someone was able to take that redneck anorexic b**** to court and take her for everything she was worth. I dream of a day in which ABC's 20/20 or NBC's Dateline does a report to uncover all the lies and deception that Cydcor companies have poured into all the unfortunate souls who pass through.

Wow, I feel like the whole family broke up. HAH family. Hi marty, johnny, brandon, and a few others that were not CROOKS, just can't remember everyone's name... 1 week turnarounds sucks.. The one thing that I am happy about is that I did learn the fundamentals of sales and (scamming customers) but not all was a scam... just when money gets involved... If you want to be a die hard salesman, then this is the sunmer sales camp for you! If you don't care about sales for the rest of your life... RUN THE OTHER WAY! The biggest issue I had was that my territory (as all were) were used up to daMAX. (FYI this is deffinately NOT a MARKETING MGMT JOB) Shawn aka newman (hah newman)

John, Wow... you say I "NEVER" worked or applied anything. What do you know? You thought I was "cool" and now you question my work ethic, so you basically (like the others) lied to my face? Typical. John you DON'T know what happened so quit acting like a nosey b***h by telling me what was going on when we both know the reason I left was because I was getting screwed over monetarily. You think I was cool? d**n right! I am a cool guy who has an education and more going for him than just about anyone in that SD office... so because I am sharper, smarter and more educated than most of the dipshits in there and I leave, suddenly I have a poor work ethic? Work smarter, not harder ya Moron! Correct me if I'm wrong John (if I have the right one, I met you with Alex), but weren't you working as a DJ in a strip club before your gig with Yasny? Let's be honest here, it's not like you had many options going on in life, so you easily were coerced by the lure of money... hey let's just call it a dream. It's not like Microsoft was going to lose a VP or the Philadelphia Eagles were going to replace Donavan McNabb with you. However, the real sad part is, is that I'm sure you made more money spinning Motley Crue songs for strippers than you got wearing your cheap suit walking door to door. But please, don't get me wrong, I love strip joints... just don't wanna work in one. SKB is a crook, we BOTH know it so stop with your rhetorical jargon of defending that hapless liar. You're simply a follower in life that really had nothing else 'going on' so latching onto a company like this was your only hope of success, so I can see why you got so defensive. If you keep saying you'll get rich, do you think it will really happen? Is Santa Claus real? Who's really the sheep/b***h now?

#9UPDATE EX-employee responds

Tue, January 20, 2004

It's as easy as that. I'm sorry I did it, but I was only following through on what I was told to do ("keep the new guys juicy"). Let me rebut by asking you a few simple questions... 1. It's been almost 15 months since you got started. Are you in mgmt yet? 2. how many times did you hit breakfast before the field? don't tell me about working a full day buddy. 3. I heard you're not doing SBC anymore. Why? 4. when, exactly did SBK help me out? by charging me for my paycheck? 5. how many outside deals have gotten promoted out of San Diego since you moved down there a year ago? Of those, how many are still open? 6. Why did Dave move back to San Diego? 7. How many people live in your apartment? 8. How much money did you deposit into your savings account last year? 9. How's your leader's office doing? Does he even have an office? You know, by now he's probably been in the business for 3+ years. You're a good kid. I understand why you're upset. If you truly believe in the system, leave San Diego at once. Go to phoenix and work in Ryan Knauss's office (if he's still in phoenix). He's a decent guy who doesn't play favorites. One of the main reasons I quit the company is because i saw how a real office should have run when I went to Phoenix. I didn't think the office I was in would ever run that way, so I left. Sure, my leader made mistakes. The biggest of which was going to OC in the first place. He and I should have cut our losses in Boston, but we were lured out there by the thought of working with 'Da Man' and being in SoCal. A lot of good that did us. Your "look at your leader" comment leads me to believe someone has painted a biased picture of how our time there was spent. That's a real shame. Oh well, perhaps one day you will find enough pride in yourself to make the right choice and leave. Until then, investigate. Discover what's on the other side of the curtain. Ask the tough questions, if you dare.

punished by law??? You bully your people, you take more than your fair share of revenues

#10UPDATE EX-employee responds

Tue, January 20, 2004

SBK, I particularly like the part about "punished by law"...Honey, if you are really looking for a lawsuit, you should consider suing Appalachian State University for allowing you to graduate without teaching you the basics of grammar! No wonder you chose Dr. Seuss as your favorite author, stick with it girl! You are the embodiment of what is wrong with DS-Max. You bully your people, you take more than your fair share of revenues and when someone leaves the business, you go with the generic DS-Max answer that the person did not work hard enough blah blah blah blah blah (amazingly you didn't throw in any McDonald's references typical of pro maxers). Don't you ever get bored of spewing the same BS over and over again? Truth is SBK, you and all the other current owners are brainwashed robots who wouldn't know what to say if it weren't for good ole' DSMax feeding your brains. You have no individuality, no personal views and worst of all, no values or ethics other than what DSMax sets forth for you. You're a bunch of mindless puppets and rest assured the people at the top of the pyramid are having a grand old time at your expense (yes I said your expense) pulling the strings! I have seen the best toast or get toasted (and SBK you're at the bottom of the barrel not the top honey). You will toast soon enough my dear, soon enough! When you do (and there is no "if" about that) just remember the truth shall set you free! By the way, I love your informative website. It really says a lot about what you do...absolutely nothing!! It's specifically vague <~~~yes that's an oxymoron moron! I wonder how long it took to write the content!

you can't have any negativity around you, or did you forget. Not even if your robbed at knife point. You are supposed to say what an absolutly stunning, wonderful, beautiful, fulfilling day that you had. Even if your puking your guts out saying it. That is probably why he said it papa bear. Just like you HAVE to have a wonderful day every day.

Just once, I would like you to say that your day really sucked and see what happens. Of course only say it when it really happens, I wouldn't want you to lie or anything.

Have another purfectly juicy day selling someones elses s**t, making someone else money, so that someday in the far, far, far future, you too can have money in cydors bank account that you can't touch.

Mike on this you must look at is your leader... he could have left oc but he didnt... you could have left with him but YOU didnt... so dont blame all of your misfortune on SBK when you know it was you... if you felt that strong then you should have stayed in Boston ... you were here when i started and i looked up to you and then you do this... i am really suprised that you would do this.... it is really funny that you are... you told me that it is the best opportunity in the world on the drive to Murrietta remember that... or did you forget that "3 Ball" ... only a few know that that was your name.

By know you know who this is, if you dont then look in your phone under 413 221 2750 that should jar your memory...

THANKS FOR ADVICE- I CANCELED 2ND INTERVIEW

#13Consumer Comment

Fri, January 16, 2004

I went in last week to interview with Sara Beth King. I was going to take the job until I read your postings... Thank you to ALL for warning me!! I am SO GLAD I did not get involved with YASNY.

Marissa was at the front desk and had loud music on, offered me a magazine, and was chatting on the phone with "her boys that were on a roadtrip" and telling me how much fun they have in the co.

Sara Beth King came out and introduced herself as the hiring manager, we went into the conference room and she told me about selling credit card machines B2B. She said she had 25 applicants, picking only 4. An hour later, she called and asked me to do a day of observation.

I just wanted to thank everyone who posted about the YASNY group, and SBK. You really helped me from making an a*s of myself, and losing my dignity. I canceled my scheduled day of O immediately after reading your postings.

Again, I just really wanted to thank everyone for posting about their experience, and preventing one more person from being scammed.

Hi Sara Beth, so nice of you to join the conversation, since we're talking about you. I won't do you the service of repeating any of your moronic barbs, save one...

"blah blah blah...punished by law...blah blah blah"

I guess we'll see about that. Oh, how's that class-action against you going? I know this is you, John (I mean SBK) because I can hear that nasally disturbing southern redneck twang coming out of each misspelled word you speak. you should look in the mirror yourself (once you brush the lines *sniff* out of the way) and ask yourself why you favor certain leaders over others. better question, why do all of my outside deals fail in their first year? oh, because i manufactured their teams and promoted idiots who couldn't lead their way out of my apartment, let alone the field.

Bottom line is this, I am not slandering you or yasny when i say that you are the most horrible person i have ever met. who wants to lay odds on whether or not anyone who worked for yasny in 2003 actually recieves a W2 form? I'm setting the line at 10:1 against it.

point the fingure!!!!???? The first and for most thing that you should do is look in the mirror..... first at the person who is wirtting all of these hateful things, did you once work hard? is the question you should ask yourself.. If you did not put one full day in then you did not work hard.... im talking about those days you drove around in your car debating wether or not you want to work that day .... that is not a full day and how about all those apps that you , and i said you, did not fill out completely... let me guess that our falt as well right!! even though we have gone over all of this several times and, you the one whos is complaining about money, you fell asleep and had to talk about your life with everone else while everyone else is doing what it takes... then ask yourself did you give 100 percent if you honestly did give 100 percent then there is no way that you would be saying any of this... So if you have anything to say against this then show your face at the office and say it there.. if you cant, then that tells us and, you, alot about your character and you! You would never make it as anybody in this world... or company cause you cant step up to anybody... and for those who dont have a name one word for you "COWARD".... that is all

I belive in the system and what it stands for.. i am not BRAINWASHED i see what is going on and surprised that those who did all of this bashing and SLANDER will be punished by Law... if you really think hard about everything that only fingure pointing you would do would be at yourself... you all have learned a lesson or two about live during your stay with Cydcor or more in depth Yasny!

#20UPDATE EX-employee responds

I know exactly what you're going through, Anon. I quit Yasny when they were still in OC. I had been there for 7 months after moving with my "leader" from Boston. I've never met such a coniving group of people as those in SB King's office. As well they should be, she trained them all. To get to the point, after I quit, I moved home to VA where my family is from. I left the company two days before payday. I left her admin person a self-addressed stamped envelope for SBK to drop my paycheck in, and send it to me. Long story short, i didn't recieve anything for over a month, and not until I agreed to PAY FOR FED-EX to deliver it myself.

SBK is indicative of the type of person it takes to succeed in that type of business. You have to be cut throat, greedy, and self-serving. If you don't take care of yourself, no one else will. unfortunately, that means you must walk over those who get in your way. That's why I never made it into management after 17 months in the field.

Finally, I worked in the office that Todd mentioned. When I quit, my manager (leader I followed from Boston) quit also. We had both had enough of the BS. A little insight behind the curtain for any Cydcor employees out there who read this and still don't believe...he was taken for almost 12K in the 7 months we were there, and he was a MANAGER. He was charged (by SBK) rental fees at higher rates than he'd agreed on, he was charged the payroll tax for sales guys who he didn't recieve any revenue from (SBK recieved that revenue), and he wasn't paid for a lot of the work he did in the office. He finally settled for about 5K less than he was owed, just to close the door and move on. Please, i implore you, if A) you work for a Cydcor office or B) you know someone who does, get out now. Any good qualities that come from that organization can be found by taking time to read every day, and reading authors like John C Maxwell and Robert Kiyosaki. You don't have to sell your soul to find out about hard work and entrepreneurship.

Next time you take out a Day of O, ask yourself why you need to use "Fear of Loss" on them in order to get them to come back the next day.

Rule of thumb - when someone refers to their industry as "the business" it's probably not legitimate.

I thought Yasny was in Orange County. I've heard things from another office they used to share space with about how terrible they are to be around. The fact that they are being bad in San Diego is no surprise here. Good luck!

By the way, for the uninformed, Yasny is one of thousands of independant corporations that make up a global sales force that is ds-max and cydcor. Yasny might WELL shut down and then become another independant corporation, under the dsmax-cydcor umbrella. Or they might just move in another of there thousands of outfits.

Good luck getting what is yours. You deserve it and I commend you on your efforts.

Here's how to file

In the state of California, you are supposed to get 'paid in full' within 72 hours of quitting. Of course, Yasny/Cydcor never did... ditched out on my calls and are continuing their scamming ways of sickeningly bankrupt ethics.

I'm sure in your state you can check the labor codes and I think you have up to 3 years to file after the incident!

Here's an example of proof: http://www.wilkefleury.com/doc.asp?ParentID=68

I went to the Department of Labor to file a claim against Yasny where they were supposed to be there to defend themselves, like the typical cowards they are, they didn't show up. I ran into former coworkers who went through the same thing as I. The CA mediator who saw us calculated how much we were owed and I am expected to get over 5k in backpay and fines. the mediator even tried to call my former white-trash boss who was in Cancun partying instead of showing up.

I probably won't get the money... and I won't lose sleep about it. Sure, I have an appointment to go to court against them in May but it probably won't happen as their company will dissolve to take the money and run.

Good luck!

I worked for a Cydcor company in Philadelphia for a long time and I know how they work very well. And I know that It was a rare and glorious day when I made any real money out there knockin on doors. So I was just wondering how it is possible that this company owes you that large of an amount of money. I am quite interested to hear your response and see if there is any recourse I may take on my former employer.

Everything that you said in your report is true of these aweful Managers and their evil practices. I wrote a few reports myself here on this web-site, so I will not express fully my feelings here in this rebuttal. The company I worked for was Apex Marketing and Promotions, Inc. and Universal Online Promotins. Check out the posts on Apex if you want.
