Your Home International Amir Benesh James Kolka Jaymey Kolka Rental home scam - Took my money and never rented the house New York and Miami
I booked a large vacation home to rent for a trip to Miami. Based on the online photos, property description and price tag we expected a gorgeous mansion with high end features. When we arrived the house was in horrible condition with stained and broken furniture, a dirty swimming pool, dirty linens, walls with holes punched in them, electrical wires hanging from the ceiling where light fixtures once were.
In addition we were told that the local laws did not allow home rentals and that if anyone asked we were to say that we were cousins of the owner and not paying to rent the house as it was ilegal. We immediately had to seek last minute accomodations elsewhere, as the house was unsafe and unsanitary for overnight stay. We returned the next day as the agent had promised the house had been cleaned and was ready for our stay. But instead the house was still filthy.
We paid $14,500 for this accomodation and Amir Benesh and Jaymey Kulka kept all of our money. None of it was refunded. When I demanded a refund, Amir put me in contact with his attorney Aaron Resnick who did not return my phone calls or emails. Basically telling me that I could take them to court but that he wouldn't lift a finger to help me. I posted on their Facebook page and tried to get Amir on the phone but he stopped answering my calls. They owe me $14,500.
