Repair and Warranty problems

I own a Yowza Keewadin treadmill for less than 2 years since I bought it back August,2011. The unit is fine until you get problems and more problems on the procedures for Yowza to service the unit. My treadmill's walking deck is slippy and I did adjust it based on Yowza tech service online but that still did not resolve the problem. They wanted me to upload and video tape it but it is difficult to show that. I did do this but they still did not honor the service. I ended up spending $120 for a certified Yowza tech here to check it out. He tells me that it needs a new deck and walking belt because it is worn down. I contacted the Yowza service via email just to find out my warranty does not cover it because they claim this is normal wear and tear? I picked up my manual and did not see any quotes of exclusion about wear and tear for anyone who owns this unit. They want me to purchase both the part and labor from them out of my own expense which should not be since they said they warranty certain parts on their website. The website stated:

lifetime on frame and drive motor

5 years  on electronic parts

5 years on deck, walking belt and rollers (Which the technian state was my problem on the unit)

and 2 years in home labor (Which also should be covered)

They would not honor the warranty and I have to spend both parts and labor. If this is how you treat customers who spend $1699 plus $249 for an extended warranty I would not bother buying this unit.

The customer who created this report contacted Yowza Fitness Support initially about a loose running belt. Running belt maintenance is considered a user's responsibilty as outlined in the owner's manual. When this customer contacted support about this issue, we did ask if he would send us a video. The intent was to make sure there was nothing else wrong with his treadmill, something that would be covered by his warranty, so that we could resolve the issue for him at no cost. In the end the video, as mentioned in the initial report, showed nothing and was inconclusive. We could not even ascertain that the belt was in fact slipping in the video.

We gave step by step guidance on how to porperly tension the running belt. The customer did not feel comfortable doing this. On his own accord he payed to have a service technician come out and tension the running belt for him over the weekend. During this visit it was determined that the running belt and running deck have been worn which is resulting in the slipping. Before this information was provided to Yowza Fitness, this report was created. These parts are covered by his warranty and will be replaced under his warranty at no cost to the customer. Additionally, since the tech visit was a result of warranty covered parts wearing out he will be reimbursed for the cost of the tech visit.

We take the satisfaction of each customer extremely seriously. Even in a scenario such as this, if we had been informed of the tech's findings prior to this report being created, a resolution to the customer's satisfaction would have been reached. We offer one of the industries best warranties and stand behind the warraty 100%.

Hello again,

This is in reference of resolution from Yowza fitness for the Keewadin Treadmill complaint I made earlier. Ash Hall did call me back personally to take care of this situation and give me new parts since I had a preimer 5 year service plan I purchase since that is covered under wear and tear. I just want to take back and apologize to Yowza now on the attention I got on my treadmill. This is a resolution response of satisfaction on both our ends of the situation.
