Zac Brown Band Cheyenne Frontier Days ZBB at Dangerous Concert Venue on 7/29 hosted by Cheyenne Frontier Days Gainesvill, Georgia
We went to the Friday night (7/29) concert for Zac Brown Band at Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The "party zone" area we were sold tickets for was for a standing room only area. It was standing room only alright--not enough room for all the women we saw who had passed out or who were laying on the ground trying to get away from the heat and packed surroundings. People laying on the ground who had to be stepped over by passers by.
We saw numerous fights breakout between people trying to get past others to move through the crowd. After two hours of warmup bands the lead act finally took the stage--and things in the crowd got even uglier. People had been drinking heavily and were packed together in the heat. Some party/
People were refusing to let anybody get by--including people who were obviously sickened by heat and claustrophobia. It's probably going to take somebody getting trampled and dying at one of these events to change things.
Now ZBB and CFD have been publicly notified in an open forum.
Stay away for your own health and safety.

Followup: [Have been to numerous other popular shows in the CFD party zones via portal 11/12 at Frontier Park. This was the most dangerous crowd situation I have ever been in. [Worse than a Detroit-Windsor Canada Fireworks show in 1984--and there were 2 million people there.]
Weak and faint people needing relief had to fight hundreds of feet to get fresh air and a $5 glass of water slopped from an ice trough.
The band, its management company, its publicist and fan club all collects fees, royalties and money from these events. They have the responsibility to put consideration for fan safety into the terms and conditions of their performances. Dead fans don't buy songs--they destroy musicians careers, fan respect and loyalty.
Just ask "The Who" about their December 79' Festival seating deathtrap in Cincinnati, Ohio: ["The band were not told until after the show about the deaths because civic authorities feared crowd problems if the concert was cancelled. The band was deeply shaken upon learning of the incident and requested assistance in subsequent venues for appropriate safety precautions for their following concerts.]

My parents took me there when I was a kid. My dad was stationed at the AFB there.
But please tell us how this is the fault of the band? Evidently they are popular but shouldn't you be complaining to the city? After all they are the ones that are hosting this and they should have limited the number of tickets sold if necessary.
