I can say that diamonds can just fall out if the company Zales purchased the ring from did a crappy job. When I worked there there were times I would put a brand new bracelet into the ultrasonic and the diamond would fall out sometimes they were small and sometimes they were bigger. As for the repair it was within 30 days and even without the warranty they should have fixed it correctly, no questions asked. I would recommend to make sure your point is known and you are not going to stop until it is corrected, but do not be vulgar. In my experience, at a store in IL, we would bend over backwards to make sure everything was fixed that was our fault, or that of our vendors, and you can tell when it was a defect and when it was the fault of someone. If a prong was bent there is a high likelihood that it was caught on a thread (which if caught right can bend gold and platinum prongs) I've done that a few times myself. As for the Regional Manager, keep calling and if that doesn't work contact the BBB. I had seen a letter come in from them for a lack of a special product (We had about 40 or so, and ran out) and with that letter they got on into the store for him. All I can say is best of luck, and please don't let that rude associate or experience ruin such a special moment in your life.
