 I initially had a car reservation for 1 day. I ended up keeping the car an extra day due to a family get together in Philadelphia. My reservation was for a pick up at 9:30PM on April 26th. I picked up the car a few hours early at 7PM. Keeping the car a day late I was ready to head home and return the car. Getting back to the car on April 28th at around 5AM, I tried to turn on the car and the engine wouldn't kick over. I tried a few more times and nothing. I taped my membership card on the wishers to activate the car and all nothing. I called zipcar to explain the situation and tell them I am currently in the car trying to get it to start so I can head home and return the vehicle. With limited money on my card at the time they tried to extend my reservation which I didn't understand. They told me I was due a 3:30AM and because of that they would not start the car if I couldn't extend, they well have the car towed. I asked them are they serious...... instead of starting the car so I can return the car they were going to leave me stranded and have the car towed. The lady agreed. I took the key out ignition, left it exposed, kept the car unlocked and took my family members that were with me to the nearest bus back to NYC. I ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT GO TO ZIPCAR. THE BIGGEST SCAM ARTIST IN THE RENTAL BUSINESS. AND THEY WILL LEAVE YOU STRANDED!!!! HIGHLY DISGUSTED!!
