Beware of this company. What a joke. They write a decent employment ad and are recruiting some of the best of the best, too bad they can't deliver. It's nothing but a revolving door. The first two weeks are training with their CRM, scripts etc. They don't pay you a dime and the first week following training "in the field" it's still training because you are not properly trained so consider the first two weeks an unpaid learning curve. That would be fine if they could deliver on the financial opportunity.

There is no "untapped" territory to call into. They hire at least 5 new people a week and this is every week and the residential HVAC industry is only so wide. Every market has been called multiple times and if you're lucky enough to make a sale, expect lot's of praise on the Monday morning sales call. This company is nothing like they portray themselves to be. Don't waste your time. I wish I would have read a report like this before I sent off my resume, took seriously the recruiting efforts and then wasted my time trying to catch a sale! ZipSmart will let you work for free as long as your willing all-the-while holding your hand and giving you praise for working so hard!

I have been with ZipSmart for 2 years. They are up front and tell every candidate they interview that this position is a dialing from home, straight commission job.

The rip-off report is inaccurate in the following ways:



  1. "They hire 5 salespeople per week" - Not even close. ZipSmart brings on MAYBE 3 to 5 sales people per month... probably less.


  2. "ZipSmart is a revolving door". Lets get real - any straight commission, work from home job will have turnover. Any straight commission job will have turnover. We have historically kept Reps too long, not turned them over. Our average rep was with the company for months and we have kept great sales people for nearly as long as we have been in business.


  3. "2 weeks training in the CRM". We don't even require that reps use the CRM - we get more compliments on our training than anything else... it lasts 3 hours on a Monday and 1 hour later that week.


  4. YES - There is a learning curve - and yes - it is straight commission. If you can't sell - don't do this job because you will NOT get paid.


  5. If you can sell - and if you WILL make the effort - you will average $40 per hour or more. We can substantiate this.

Zipsmart is not a real opportunity for the serious sales professional. on their sales team they have very high turnover, and high turnover in the businesses they sell to also.

I gave zipsmart the old college try and made a ton of calls but didn't see the huge six figure income they promised. Didn't even see a modest five figure income! No doubt they will just continue to hire more sales guys until they get tired of working for free.
