Zynga, Inc My mother was scammed by someone using the Words With Friends App and Zynga is aware of the problem California San Francisco California
My mother has been playing Words With Friends (a game owned by Zynga) and was contacted by someone who scammed her out of 100,000.00. My research shows that this has been a chronic problem on the WWF app to the point that some people no longer want to play the game. Zynga has been contacted numerous times, by numerous players, and has apparently been made aware of these scammers for a long time, but has done nothing about it. There is no mention of this problem within the game, and the anonymous platform of the game makes players extremely vulnerable to scammers, who can come and go with little to no oversight. I have read dozens of complaints and accounts of people being scammed, or scam attempts being made up to several times a day for some people. I'm so furious that Zynga has been allowed to continue letting their players be scammed, know about it, and are doing NOTHING. Not even warning people. My elderly mother lost her entire life savings due to this scammer giving her a sob story and tugging at her heart strings, while promising her the money she was sending was just a loan, to be paid back with interest. Zynga needs to address this, and if necessary, compensate those who have been scammed through thier game
