Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We have been in business for well over 20 successful years and can honestly say that hiring James E. Polk, II. was one our biggest mistakes ever! He is the absolute worst Attorney our firm has ever hired! Truth be told, James E. Polk, II. is a shameless con man and petty thief! During our initial consultation, he bragged about his 40 years of experience and assured us we would be taken care of. But in reality, James E. Polk, II. took our money and ran. Shortly after cashing our check, he immediately stopped returning our phone calls and would no longer respond to our e-mails.

And as James E. Polk, II. shamelessly dodged our time-sensitive phone calls, our legal matter was totally neglected, which ended up costing us more time and money and hurt our case tremendously! He did not respond to our very specific requests for important steps to be taken in our case. Polk also ignored our requests for certain Motions to be filed in our case and thus we missed several key deadlines, which hurts our case even more. The only Motion Polk filed in our case was dismissed by the Judge because Polk lacked the legal knowledge and diligence to properly file the Motion.

In our honest opinion, James E. Polk, II. is a terrible attorney! He is the absolute worst so-called lawyer we have ever met or dealt with on any level. After watching him in action, we would not trust him to take out our trash let alone handle any important legal matter. Despite him being totally unqualified to handle the matter we entrusted him with, we were shocked to quickly discover that his work is super sloppy and lacks the attention to detail necessary to properly protect his clients’ interest. He made us promises that he NEVER intended to honor and in reality he is nothing more than a washed-up, has-been old man who barely had enough energy to steal our money and ride off into the sunset!

Beyond this, James E. Polk is a liar and the crook! He collected money from us under totally false pretenses and then did not honor his end of the bargain on any level. Even worse, he did not care about our legal matters! He was only there to manipulate us out of our hard-earned money. He lied, cheated and deceived us – anything to trick us out of our money! Worst thing about it, all of this occurred during the national Covid-19 crisis, a time where people really needed their money and businesses like ours are fighting for survival. None of this mattered to Polk, as he ignored very legitimate requests for weeks, kept our money and showed no compassion for businesses like ours, working hard to pay our people and keep our doors open during hard times! Based on our experience, we do not trust James E. Polk and would not recommend him to our worst enemy!

Rather than making money the old-fashioned way, James E. Polk only worked hard to steal our money with his trickery and deception. After dealing with him, it’s clear that he does not have the knowledge, experience, resources or desire to help anyone but himself! Hiring James E. Polk was a decision we regret to this day. Be careful & do not make the same mistake!!

Filing Bankruptcy Is A Measure of Success?

#2Consumer Comment

You talk about 20 years of success, but the only business practice this lawyer does is bankruptcy.  Everything else he does is either in Family Law or Personal Injury.  All of this is pretty clear on his website.  You weren't fighting for survival because of COVID-19.  You were way past that point.  Stop gaslighting this site and simply admit you aren't the success you pretend to be, fighting for some point of survival.

Why did you even hire a lawyer?

Based on your narrative, it is very confusing as to why you even hired an attorney. It seems as if you just wanted a paper pusher to do what ever you asked. But that is not the job of an attorney. The duty of an attorney is to work in the best interest of the client.

You keep talking about all of these motions you wanted him to file, but if these were motions that the attorney knew had no merrit the last thing they should be doing is to file them and waste the courts time. You then seem to know all about law where you know that when he filed a motion that you lost on, that of course HE must have messed up.

So again, with all of your apparent legal knowelege why did you even bother hiring an attorney?  Perhaps a better question is that in 20 years it seems very unlikely that you never had to hire an attorney.  So why didn't you go with an attorney  you have gone to in the past, or at least ask  your attorney for a recomendation if it was a different area of law.

I bet there is a lot more to this story, especially since you are leaving out anything about the type of case this is.

Oh and no I do not work for this person or any attorney.
