I was curious since they advertise so highly about Cherokee line if anyone that has these babies has notified http://www.cherokeebulldogs.com/ and let him know they use his name in making what they call Mini bulldogs which is just ruining a breed! There is no such thing as a mini bulldog and what he is doing by breeding them into minis is causing more and more defective puppies.

Hi, I have read your postings and Jean I will surely repost this as a new thread. I have also contacted my veterinarian, FOX 8 news and several humane societies. Both to state and local (where the mill is located) one. Yes, I am in Brunswick and will continue to educate and notify as many places and people I can. It truly is heartbreaking. I am however very happy to say that we did fine a very nice breeder whom owned both mom and dad who are beautiful. We brought home a 10 week old little girl this past Saturday. It was a 3 hour drive out past Columbus but I am so happy to know there really are good people out there. If there is anything else I can do please let me know. Thank you for responding and I am sorry you had to go through this as well. -

Has anyone tried to contact the ASPCA or any other type of animal welfare place. From what it sounds is that these people are not treating these animals right and if reported they would be in serious trouble especially if the dogs have a sign on illness. I have been watching their facebook page and from the looks they had 3 litters of puppies due right around now and they ahd said there were no puppies yet available but now all the sudden they have a bunch of 6 week old puppies. Where the heck did they come from!! I have never seen their facilities but I would urge someone that has to call a local animal welfare agency.

I am so sorry you had to have this experience when doing something as wonderful as buying a puppy. I must congratulate you on asking all the right questions and doing the right things and not buying into that type of puppy mill breeding. I have been trying to stop these people for over 3 years. If you read all my other complaints you know how frustrated I am that they are still at it. I am also sadden to see from your complaint that they have gotten even more despicable since they have moved from Tallmadge to Garrettsville. I cried with you. It would help very much if you would post your complaint as a separate issue rather than as a response to mine, that way your complaint will be seen when someone googles Stone Quarry/Castle Rock Bulldogs on line. You can also do this yourself if you haven't already and see all the other sites that you can post complaints to. You can copy your complaint in edit and then just paste it in the body of the other sites saving alot of typing. This way the word goes out more and hopefully people will see it and make better choices about buying a puppy and not just because they look cute in the breeders web page. I see you are in Brunswick and I am in Olmsted Falls and am listed under brokate. I am in contact with others who have had problems with them. Again, thank you for doing the right thing.

I was doing a puppy search for an English Bulldog and came across photos and videos of puppies that were adorable. So I made the call to Melissa at Stone Quarry and proceeded to go meet what I thought would be my new puppy. I was thrilled that is until I got there.
I pull up to what looks like a lovely farmhouse with two barns. I proceed to go inside and my first instinct was that something just was not right. But then she brings in this cute little puppy and tells me he has a cold but he is on antibiotics. Okay, no big deal. I did not see any other dog in the home and I was thinking that is strange. If you love your dogs then they should be in your home getting lots of love and attention.
I began playing with the puppy and thought gosh he stinks. No puppy should smell nor have a cold. Something is not right. So I asked to see the parents. Well I got the same story. That they did not have the dad but it was a brother of this champion. I insisted I see the other dogs parent or not. At first she only took me outside. She really did not want to show us the other but I was not buying a puppy until I knew he was born into a loving environment. Well I enter the barn and oh my gosh!
I see dogs upon dogs. At least 20 or more. At first I thought okay 3 to a nice size pen, access to the outside, food .... And frozen water. Okay that was when I waned more information. I ask to see more and behind me are at least 10 crates, rusty, dirty, pee and poo with a female in each one. And yeap most of them pregnant. Disgusting! I am appalled and begin looking closer at these dogs and they had dirty paws from walking in their own poo, they were not happy and I wanted to cry. Every where I turned more dogs in a crate or dirty pen. I ask to see another puppy. They bring one from another room and I held that puppy and he just snuggled up in my arms as though he had never been held like that yet.
As I handed him back she turned to put him back in a closed off room and I peered my eyes through the crack of the door that was slightly open and that is where the females with pups were. And when I seen the filth and she was in a crate ugh. Those poor dogs. I left and will not go back and will share my story with others. Please take my advice and always ask to see the other dogs and if they are treated poorly then please don't buy one as that only adds to the problem. The only way to stop this is to educate others and stop buying from them.

Castle Rock Bulldogs in Tallmadge, Oh. continues to sell bulldogs with dubious parents. They are now selling under the name: Stone Quarry Bulldogs, Garretsville, Oh. Don't be fooled, it is the same Melissa & Robert Riley at the same address in Tallmadge, that has been selling sick puppy mill puppies mixed in with their home bred puppies for years. Do not purchase a puppy just because it is sooo cute. They are, BUT, you can't see what is inside or know what the parents are like if you don't see them.
