I had applied online October 2019 for the Clark's Residence's with Abode properties. Around April 15th, 2020 a manager named Robert contacted me telling me that he had a room available and wanted me to come in to fill out an application. I did just that. When I went in, I had a bad feeling about the place. Beforehand, I had checked out the website and the building looked beautiful, yet eerie from the outside.

I didn't know what I would be encountering once I drove up in front of the building with a friend of mine. The place was massive, and had a Gothic feel to it. I didn't know whether to see it as a church setting or a prison.  Once I went into the building, the lobby was shabby and not as well-cared for as the outside was. I immediately knew I wouldn't want to be there. Many of the clients were African American or of the Darker Nation.

I am not sure what word Ripoff Report editors are going to censor, so I used both terms. When I went to the second floor, it was beautiful and well-kept just like the picture on the internet. That's where the office is at. I met two people there, they were Hispanc. A woman and a man named Robert. They took ten minutes to run a so called background and credit check and said I was a dangerous felon and a rapist. I said that I have never been charged with a felony or rape in my entire life. They insisted that I had. They also started naming off people I don't know saying I was in cahoots with them. I almost passed out. It was an awful experience. Many people in Los Angeles are dangerously corrupt.

This COVID19 has randomly chosen its victims. I won't type the rest of my thoughts. Los Angeles is a filthy place full of mean people. Such a shame. Please don't scam potential tenants because of the COVID19 situation. Many of them may not be able to pay rent. but don't FURTHER victimize people. That's not right either. See, that seems to be the character of many people in Los Angeles. always trying to scam someone.

LEAVE LA and take your bodyguard with you - this is the second report about an apartment complex you have filed today. Who cares about the "clients" skin color?? You applied in October yet it is April!! Just like you applied for the job you lost, the unemployment/ssi money you did not receive, the student loans you did not receive and the list goes on. Seems to me the common denominator here is not these companies but with you.
