Thanks for your response, I did attempt to check out this seller using the email addy she solicited me with, and came up clean. I only found the name she sells under on ebay when she later mistakenly? emailed my with another email address, one that she uses on ebay. The owner of an ebay seller's "loop", Brenda Reid had solicited me to join her loop sometime prior to the sale, and THAT is how I came to be solicited by Colleen Davis. "AuntB's online" is the name of the email group or loop, and the owner/moderator Brenda Reid has done NOTHING to rectify, doesn't even acknowledge her responsibility to do so!! I did contact some the other people who'd purchased Davis' awful clothing on ebay, and guess what..all the purchases just under ebay's $25 reporting limit...clever huh? UPDATE ON PAYPAL....can't take any credit for this but they are now going to work misrepresentation cases in their dispute resolution department, not just the non-receipt. I DID rally hard regarding this because I knew with ebay now owning paypal, ignoring misrepresentation would be a big conflict of interest WITH new owner ebay. Sure enough, the user agreement was updated and promted me when I logged in last week. Thanks again for responding...do you any experience with small claims court in Iowa, I will be filing soon?

Lisa, I am a long time buyer and seller on ebay. The first mistake you made was agreeing to an off ebay transaction. This is a big no-no in the ebay community as you have found out, you will have no protection from ebay in the event that something goes wrong. Did you read this sellers feedback before becoming involved in a transaction with her? Her feedback is terrible. 202 positives, 10 negatives & 3 neutrals is not a very good track record. Not only does she have negative feedback for sending filthy stained items, but she also has negatives for not paying for auctions she has won from other sellers. My advice would be to very carefully read a sellers feedback and never participate in another off ebay deal.
