I was involved in a car wreck and the insured's insurance used Allstate, which uses Enterprise.  I was assigned an Enterprise car - a mini van -- because allstate would not approve anything else I was told.  I was in the van for 33 days while my new car was being repaired.

Once my car was repaired, I contacted Enterprise to ask how to return car/get my car.  I was told BY THE BRANCH MANAGER JOY M. STEPHENS to take the car to the collision center and they would get the car. - its done "all the time."  I verified this with the Collission Center and was told it was fine.

Dropped rental off at 8:25 am, was told "everything is fine, you are good to go" so I left.  FOUR HOURS AND THIRTY MINUTES LATER, I am contacted by Joy M. Stephens that the van now has "damage" and I need to pay for it.  No photos.  No proof.  I asked to see photos, she sent me some crazy looking photos and you can't even tell what vehicle this is on.

After I refused to pay for the damages, Joy Stephens put the remaining contracted days that were to be paid by Allstate on my personal credit card that was used for the deposit.  I never gave her any permission to do so, Allstate had paid for the rental up to this point and was still paying for it.  (I called Allstate and confirmed).

Joy Stephens has taken this as a personal attack against me, fraudulentely charged my credit card, reported a bogus and untrue damage claim, and refuses to give me her supervisior name or number to speak to.  I am fighting this with my own insurance and every legal avenue I can.

ENTERPRISE WAXAHAHCIE makes untrue claims, they are highly unprofessional, and they need to stop the madness with me.  That car was out of my "ownership" for hours - I did not damage their car.  I took great care of it while in my possession.  Just ridiculous!

Whereas I appreciate your comments, Dog, I don't really need you to lecture this "foolish idiot" on insurance.  That isn't the issue on IF I had insurance.  The issue is the lying and the manipulation of Enterprise Rental in Waxahachie Texas.  I have rented many cars, for I travel with work.  I know all about insurance and IF I HAD DONE THE DAMAGE, it would have sucked -- yes -- but I definitely would have taken responsibility.

You may see me as foolish, but I am also responsibile for my own actions.  But, the point of my report is that I did NOT do the damage.  And, the location in Waxahachie, Texas, is unprofessional, the manager refused to speak about this incident in a calm professional manner, she used "ghetto" slang to speak to me, and refused to let me speak to HER manager.

She refused to send me photos of the "damage" until I told her I had rights to see it.  The photos she sent me -- you can't even tell if this is the vehicle I had been driving.  IT's a SCAM, sir.  So, insurance is not the issue -- I have insurance.  I pay for insurance for everything I own.  I'm not the foolish idiot you claim -- I am a disgusted customer of Enterprise Rentals in Waxahachie, Texas.  And, on other sites that I have posted this on -- others are coming out making the same claims as well.

Thank you for your opinion and have a wonderful day. Stay away from Waxahachie Texas Enterprise location and save yourself some drama, whether you take out the insurance OR NOT.  :)

You carry insurance for your personal car, right? Why would you NOT think you need insurance protection for a rental car where, by your own admission, used for over a month? Anybody with half a brain knows if you rent s car without insurance, YOU are on the hook for any damage.

Did you do a walk around with the rental rep when you picked it up and made sure they noted any damage on the paperwork? When you brought it back, did you do another walk around with them to GUARANTEE there were no new points of damage? I don't care what they said, you are bringing back a car upon which you foolishly failed to cover with insurance, you tell them you insist on a proper walk around since YOU are on the hook!

I mean, this is a matter of common sense! As it is now, you have no way to prove you didn't do the damage because YOU FAILED to have it properly checked out and then checked in. Incredible!
