Complaint Review: Eat @ George’s - St Helens Oregon

 The original posting on this by me was written under duress as George Cunningham was threatening to sue me. We attempted to settle this but his thugs have been harassing me. He also made contact with me today trying to start another fight. Last week someone tried to phish my phone using his name. This morning he gave me a private message on FB, I responded by telephone and he denied ever sending me the PM. I must assume the PM was a third party screwing with us all along and there is no agreement or George is just plain lying. For all those reasons I will no longer be silent about his sub par food and disrespect to American vets.

 I, frank bechdoldt would like to rebut my previous comment. The previous comment was made under threat of lawsuit and under an agreement that each party would leave one another alone. Since then friends of the shop owners have harassed me on line on behalf of the shop owner. Soon after that phishing attempts were made on my phone asking me if I wanted to obtain more info on George Cunningham. I did not hire his ploy to install a Trojan horse to my phone. Next came A private message from the owner asking me if I wrote a review.

I responded by phone which is the way I would refine d anyone to deal with George to avoid computer issues. He denied sending the PM that was sent in his name and was the same account we had earlier discussions on. , that lead to my agreement with him. Since George now Denys that was his account, I must of made an agreement with a phantom in previous messages with that account or George is a liar. In either case, i stand by complaint about his service being sub par. I stand by my complaint that he is blatantly giving Vets the finger by serving food with a flag on it that will only be disposed of in the garbage or in the slip that’s left over in someone’s plate.

I feel that I was bullied into removing my reviews on Facebook by George and his thug friends. I feel that he has conspired with others to squelch my free speech. I would avoid this place at all costs.

 George and I settled our differences on the flags months ago but there was some misunderstanding about the flag box or lost communication between him and I. I also came to the thought to leave the guy alone he’s a vet of sorts and served America in the merchant marines. I was caught up In the flag issues that come and go on Facebook. Most of our issues could have been solved over a beer as long past are the days we punched each other in the nose.

Perhaps in 1979 we would have fought in the playground and became friends. Dispute what George thinks, I have ate his food, it is good. People bring it into work before Covid. I can tell you that George is loved by the community I. Southern Columbia county. I was mistaken about George in our Facebook arguments that were on the equivalent of a 1984 FB radio.

We were on the garbage site of the county. I Frank Bechdoldt recant anything bad about George Cunningham. This is where internet bickering gets us. Let’s treat each other better. Let’s treat people like George treats his customers. With Love. Frank Bechdoldt

This report was made by Franklin Bechdoldt of Clatskanie Oregon, who has never been to my restaurant and has been posing as other people to defame me and defame my business. Franklin had a legitimate concern with the use of tiny american flag tooth picks being used for our burgers, which are huge and per our insurance policy are ALWAYS WELL DONE, to keep the wrappers closed.

Franklin did not call us he only left a review in his old facebook profile name "Frank Bechdoldt".

I spoke with Franklin and agreed to stop using the american flag picks when we exhausted our supply

and to use a different style that was in accordance with US Flag Code. I personally felt and feel Franklin

was correct in calling my use out and offered to place a recepticle for customers to place used american

flag puicks in, NOT THE TRASH, and Franklin agreed to come pick them up and "retire" them in a manner he felt appropriate.

I apologized to Franklin and honestly felt shame that I had offended him and in his eyes

violated flag code. As of July Franklin began to create fake facebook user accounts and defaming me personally and leaving fake reviews and claims. I was always polite and accomodating to Franklin, even after several of my customers were very rude to him. I actually defended AND agreed with Franklin.

I was made aware that Franklin had accosted a coworker over this issue and it became very clear that Franklin is a very passionate, proud, veteran that feels very strongly about our nation, that he proudly served, and it's flag we all could hold a little more dear. I am not sure what happened to Franklin in July but he was somehow triggered and chose me as a target to vent his emotions on.

Franklin I know you will read this and I am truly sorry the American Flag picks offended you, my only intention was to keep our products contained for our customers. I chose the flags as I've told you before because there were 3 choices to choose from, American flag picks, Mexican flag picks, and cellophane wrapped picks.

We serve american food and care about not putting plastic in our trash and in turn in the ocean. The only

appropriate choice was the american flag picks, it may have been short sighted but we corrected our mistake.

I apologized for how other customers treated you and still feel it was very unfair. Franklin I'm sorry.

I hope you can accept this apology and that you can apologize for all the things that you have done.

I wish you no ill will and look forward to someday being able to serve you.
