Glamour Nails Glamour Nails at Hope Island Gold Coast
I'm from Newcastle and was staying with friends on the Gold Coast in January this year when I decided to spoil myself with a nice new set of nails for a party we were going to the next evening. I wandered into Hope Island Market Place shopping centre and came across a nail shop called Glamour Nails.
I was told quite rudely to "come back later because we're busy" even though there was one of the staff sitting in the corner eating fruit and texting. I did come back because I didn't know the area well and where to find another salon.
I had also forgotten my glasses so couldn't watch what sort of job they were doing on my nails. When the girl (Tina her name was) was doing my nails she was constantly picking her phone up and texting which I found rude.
Then her and another staff member (I think she called her Ally or something similar) were constantly chatting in Chinese and giggling to one another. It was pretty obvious they were talking about me as they would both laugh as they look at me.
After being intimidated by them and paying and getting out of the shop as quickly as I could, I arrived back at my friends place and realised she had completely botched the job. She had made a mess of them. I went to another shop the next day and had someone fix them as well as she could but went to the party with my hands in my pockets so no-one could see them.
Avoid this shop! Not only are they rude but they make a mess of your nails!
