Bought a horse from Kayla Gayheart in February 2022 from one of their many ads on the internet. I actually paid a vet to do an exam on this horse before it was to be shipped to me from out of state. The vet never looked in the horses mouth which was negligent on his part. The vet was Dr Schwartz from Midland Acres Veterinary.
So Shame on him too for not doing what I paid for. Anyway, the horse was supposed to be 14 and my vet said she is in her mid 20s. This makes her geriatric. Not only that but her mouth is misaligned and teeth missing from having her mandible and maxilla broken some time in her life. I was ripped off by the Gayhearts and the vet.

I want everyone to know that I don't think I have a lot of legal recourse with the dealers. Some of you all might though. I may have a chance with the Ohio Veterinary Board for the vet's shoddy physical examination. I am contacting them. Now, in my State of Georgia, you can go after someone that misrepresents the safety of a horse for riding. Not sure about any one else's state though. This is despite the fact that we do have the Equine Liability Law here to protect horse owners.
I have also thought about leaving reviews on some of the sites they advertise on. So far I have found them on Equinenow.com, equinemarket.com, livestockmarket.com, horseclicks.com, horsesoodle.com. Unfortunately none of these sites have a place for reviews. Maybe we ought to start a new website for reviewing horse dealers.

This same thing happened to us. I am so frustrated and have no idea what to do next. I am also blasting their names every chance I get. I text the number they have daily asking for my money back. Clearly they do not care

First, I am sorry you have had to go through this. I also experienced what you are going through. I am determined to make them accountable for what they did to me. They are not good people. Kayla, Troy, Jarred, and there mother Cindy Gayheart are deceptive, and are not honest! I was told my horse was child safe and used for lessons.
They said she was 13 years old and in fact was in her 20's. I Rode her and put my 8 year old grandson on her. When she was delivered to me she was a totally different horse. She was crazy. I believe that they had drugged her when I saw her in person. I ended up getting hurt when I tried to ride her and had to go to hospital. I will see them in court.

Hello! I would like to reach out and say you are not alone. We were also scammed by Kayla, and she has ghosted us. She sold us a sick underweight horse with equine asthma.
